Chrome/Firefox extension for extracting m3u8 playlists on Panopto pages.

Installation

Chrome

  1. Download the latest source release.
  2. Unzip it somewhere. You'll get a directory named panopto-m3u8-VERSION.
  3. Go to the extension page (e.g. chrome://extensions).
  4. Enable Developer Mode.
  5. Drag the extracted directory into the page.
  6. Do not delete the extension directory.

Firefox

  1. Download and install the latest release.

Usage

  1. Open a Panopto page.
  2. Let the video play for a couple of seconds.
  3. Open the extension popup and copy the URLs.
  4. Download 'em with youtube-dl, or with panopto-dl.

Issue in completying downloads

I'm trying to download a video off Panopto. But with the url I've copied and youtube-dl I get the error "Unable to download webpage: <urlopen error [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed: unable to get local issuer certificate"
