property names with space like "UI Properties": ["a",b","c"] will lead to uml code wich will result in syntax error.

This should work:
...
newObj.push({
clsName: key,
clsNameFullReference: key.replace(/\s/g, "_"), /* used to avoid uml name collisions */
clsProperties: objProperties,
clsObjects: objChildObjectsStr
});

Good day, nice utility.

There are dos-like characters in the script which causes it to fail on Ubuntu.

More about it here:

This can be fixed on Ubuntu with:
dos2unix /usr/local/lib/node_modules/json-to-plantuml/bin/json-to-plantuml.js

However, probably better to just fix it at source.
