How does a level generated? Are the enemies random or is it the same every time?

If so how is a level stored? In the DB?

You should be able to view a leaderboard in the game itself as well as the website.

How do power-ups work? What abilities do they give you? How do you activate them?

One idea for activation is "catching" or "docking" the upgrade by driving your ship into it. The upgrade would be become part of your ship for (n) amount of time and then blink rapidly before going away.

We need a better way of rendering what should be on screen. Maybe keeping state is a better way to handle this?

Not sure if site should live on DO or Now. Should look into how easy this would be to setup on DO and push with automatic workflow on Circle.

Maybe something like this bottom row. Would probably be weird when the ship gets to the bottom of the screen and runs into it though. Need to make sure those colors don't clash.
