parse-ingredients's Issues

Failing to parse decimals

Hi, I'm having issues with numbers with decimals like '0.5 kg sugar'. It parses as 0 and 5, any suggestions on how to add this case to the re expression? very appreciated. Thanks.

Space in unit not recognized

Hi, I have just noticed that the parser fails to parse the unit if there is a space in the unit string.
Here an example:

from parse_ingredients import parse_ingredient
parse_ingredient('100 milli gram sugar')

returns:
Ingredient(name='milli gram sugar', quantity=100.0, unit='', comment='', original_string='100 milli gram sugar')

instead of the expected result, i.e.:
Ingredient(name='sugar', quantity=100.0, unit='milli gram', comment='', original_string='100 milli gram sugar')

even if "milli gram" is in the list of the recognized units.

"handful" keyword causes error

It throws an error when the phrase "handful of x" is used, see screenshot below:

Is it possible to remove the print statements in the module as well?

Docs list out wrong method

the docs are incorrect. To use, need to callparse_ingredient not search_recipe

that is,

from parse_ingredients import *
result = parse_ingredient("12 ounces lean ground beef, preferably 85 percent lean")

then you get

result
Ingredient(name='lean ground beef', quantity=12.0, unit='oz', comment='preferably 85 percent lean', original_string='12 ounces lean ground beef, preferably 85 percent lean')

Vulgar Slash is not recognised

Vulgar slash in quantity is not recognized and it will throw an error list index out of range
Ex- ' ½ teaspoon salt '
