kiota-authentication-azure-go's Introduction

Kiota Azure Identity authentication provider library for go

Go

The Kiota Azure Identity authentication provider library for go is the authentication provider implementation with Azure.Identity.

A Kiota generated project will need a reference to a authentication provider library to authenticate HTTP requests to an API endpoint.

Read more about Kiota here.

Using Azure Identity authentication provider library for go

go get github.com/microsoft/kiota-authentication-azure-go
cred, err := azidentity.NewDeviceCodeCredential(nil)
authProvider, err := kiotaazure.NewAzureIdentityAuthenticationProviderWithScopes(cred, []string{"User.Read"})

// azidentity is an import of github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-go/sdk/azidentity
// kiotaazure is an import of github.com/microsoft/kiota-authentication-azure-go

kiota-authentication-azure-go's Issues

Getting error - not enough arguments in call to a.authenticationProvider.AuthenticateRequest

Below is the code- reference

package main

import (
	"fmt"
	"log"

	"github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-go/sdk/azidentity"
	a "github.com/microsoft/kiota-authentication-azure-go"
	msgraphsdk "github.com/microsoftgraph/msgraph-sdk-go"
)

func main() {
	cred, err := azidentity.NewClientSecretCredential(. // tried with others also
		"***********",
		"********",
		"************",
		nil,
	)

	auth, err := a.NewAzureIdentityAuthenticationProviderWithScopes(cred, []string{"User.Read"})

	adapter, err := msgraphsdk.NewGraphRequestAdapter(auth)

	client := msgraphsdk.NewGraphServiceClient(adapter)

	result, err := client.Me().Get()
	if err != nil {
		log.Fatal(err)
	}

	fmt.Println(result)
}

After executing the above code getting the below error-

# github.com/microsoft/kiota-http-go
../../go/pkg/mod/github.com/microsoft/[email protected]/nethttp_request_adapter.go:93:54: not enough arguments in call to a.authenticationProvider.AuthenticateRequest
        have (*abstractions.RequestInformation)
        want (*abstractions.RequestInformation, map[string]interface{})

undeclared name: kiotaazure

The readme gives this example:

cred, err := azidentity.NewDeviceCodeCredential(nil)
authProvider, err := kiotaazure.NewAzureIdentityAuthenticationProviderWithScopes(cred, []string{"User.Read"})

This seems to assume that kiotaazure is part of this package: github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-go/sdk/azidentity

Is it?

Finish CAE implementation work

The current continuous access evaluation implementation returns an error when presented with a challenge, and will never be presented with a challenge to begin with. This is because of gaps in the azure identity library at the moment.
