MikeFactorial.XTB.Plugins.PPCLIx

Power Platform CLIx is an XrmToolBox Plugin that provides a User Interface over top of the Power Platform CLI for ease of connecting, exploring and executing PAC commands.

It's intended for users who may not be familiar or comfortable with working from the command line and want to use the ever-growing number of features available for the Power Platform CLI. It also provides easy navigation and discovery for users of the command line features.

mikefactorial.xtb.plugins.ppclix's Issues

Enhancement - Add ability to save and load from saved command file

While using PP CLIx a user may want to save the state of the tool to load in a future session when they have commands they want to repeat without starting over. Saving the state of the tool and reloading would be a useful feature to have and it may be nice to have the tool always load with the previous session and possibly save automatically on exit.

Enhancement - Add Open in Command Line

Would be nice to shell out from the app to do more complex things once a command and the parameters are set and have the command prefill. Also, possibly support commands other than pac for ad-hoc command line command execution.

Known Issues in v1.3.0

  • pac power-fx commands are currently not fully supported running from the XrmToolBox interface but you can use CLIx to build up your command and run from the command line
  • Some process instances aren't shutting down properly leaving abandoned pac processes running in the background.
  • Determining parameter type for files / paths isn't reliable. In some cases --path means path to a file in other cases it means a path to a directory so the current implementation for inferring these isn't always correct.
