jlox's Introduction

jlox

My first foray into PLD, and understanding how actual interpreters and compilers work, following Crafting Interpreters, an excellent book by Bob Nystrom.

This implementation of jlox follows faithfully the canonical tree-walk interpreter implementation in Java as detailed in the book.

jlox's Issues

Lambdas

  • Implement support for proper anonymous functions / lambdas

Implicit semicolons

  • Implement support for omitting the semicolon (;) at the end of statements

Arrays

  • Add support for arrays ([1, 2, 3, ...])
  • Add support for associative arrays (['key' => 'value', ...])

Test coverage

  • Add JUnit as a testing framework and write unit tests to cover the interpreter code.
