Bugs

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start the game
2. Watch your character's initial movement

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would expect the character to move fluidly but there is a slight lag in the
"dropping" of the character into the world.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Alpha Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.

Starting Positions

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load the game, don't move

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Land on platform, collision with enemy

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Win7

Please provide any additional information below.
Probably just set initial positions differently. When you load the level it
lags, so making initial course not direct death is probably good.

Bug

Bug + Repro:
In the beginning of the game, as the initial positions of both the bird and the
enemy are randomly set, there are times when the bird is so close to the enemy
that the moment the game starts the collision happens and the game is over

Expected Output:
The bird and enemy should not collide the moment the game starts. But I saw
them collide many times.

Possible Fix:
You might want to strategically set the initial positions of both the bird and
the enemy.

System Specs:
Windows 7 x64 OS on MacBook Pro i5 Core Intel Processor
Inbuilt Intel Graphics Card

Bug

This bug is hard to reproduce because the level is generated randomly
(seemingly), but try getting the blue circle thing that makes you jump higher
down towards the bottom of the screen, and then try jumping on it. From my
experience the extra jumping doesn’t work if it’s at the bottom.

Bug

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Lose the game.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect the screen telling you which keys to press to quit / restart / etc. The
image showing this doesn't fit on the screen, making the key commands not
readable.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Alpha version. Windows 7, 64 bit.

Blue pads don't always work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
A couple of ways:
you can land just off-center on a boost pad (ss attached of a case where i'm
landing and not getting boosted), or
you can come from a platform below that boosted you just enough to land on the
platform with the boost pad.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect my character to be boosted, but instead my character just jumps the
normal height. For the case where I land on the edge, maybe the width of the
boost area could be increased. For the other case, when I jump from a platform
below and don't get boosted, I think this is because I've managed to only hit
the platform below the boost pad. Adding more variation in the spacing of the
platforms would help fix this.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Win7 x64, Nvidia Optimus/GT 330M

Bug

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch game
2. Click play
3. Click play again at character selection screen
4. Press up-arrow/down-arrow while trying to jump on blocks

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should either be convinced that the perspective is 2D or 3D, not something
in-between that then causes me under/over-estimate jumps.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Alpha, Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.

Bug

The collision detection does not work properly. The player dies even when there
is no contact. From what I have seen both the player and the enemy are just 2D
sprites. So to fix it just bound the sprites with rectangle and check if there
is any intersection using “intersects” functions. If they were 3D models,
then bound them in a cube and check whether there is any intersection between
the cubes. To make it more efficient just make more cube to bound the models.
