toastit-js's Introduction

  • πŸ‘‹ Hi, I’m @mobilepadawan

  • πŸŽ“ I teach JavaScript, Node JS backend, and SQL, in a couple of coding schools, a University, and also in two Associate Tech-School.

  • πŸ“† Since 2021 I'm coordinating a Diploma Degree in a Public University for some cities in Argentina whom are deploying this University Diploma in Frontend Web and Backend with Node.js. My role is to guide the professor and tutor Teams also to provide them educational content and exercises, and to coordinate simultaneous Diploma Degree courses (near 10-12 courses). And in the coming months we will launching University Diplomas for the πŸ” Cybersecurity and πŸ€–πŸ§  Artificial Intelligence fields.

  • πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ’» I continue to improve my skills by developing technical content for many Argentinian EdTech companies and Universities (UNTREF, ISTEA, EducaciΓ³n IT, CODERHOUSE, FUNDACIΓ“N YPF (MEDIACHICAS), TECLAB) among others. To write and to teach are helping me to learn new things at a time.

toastit-js's Issues

Cut or Truncate text messages exceeded in length

We need to analyze the proper solution for longest messages.

An option is to cut any text exceeded from XX characters. Another option is to let the developer asume the responsibility to control it.

Add more CSS support files

A good improvement to this library is to add other CSS files as an alternative where the user can find more CSS styles. e.g.:

  • pastel color CSS classes
  • shimmering color CSS classes
  • and many additional options

ToastIt-JS lost visibility while <dialog> is open

ToastIt JS is inserted over the HTML body element. This works fine while a HTML is not showing in the HTML document.

When you open a element and code a logic to interact with ToastIt JS, the ToastIt div is located behind the ::backdrop CSS style applied over the element.

Stack many notifications on screen

To stack more than one notification on screen. Evaluate if it is possible, really necessary, or maybe we can let the toast it working as now.

Add a fallback action support

To introduce a fallback action support to execute another function from ToastIt when the user clicked or tapped over the toast message on screen.

Bug of `ToastIt` when its shown from a `<dialog>`

ToastIt JS is located in the background of the screen when its fired from a HTML <dialog> that is using ::backdrop property.

We need to fix this bug and make a som tests to confirm the solution.

It will coming to solved in the next version of ToastIt.
