cmake_common's Issues

Add supports for Python module plugin

Currently python_plugin only supports "old-style" Python plugin where a single .py file is put in plugins/ and everything else in data/.

Since MO2 now supports Python module, and basic_games has already been added to mob, python_plugin (or another project type) should support python module. I tried implementing it myself but since I am not really a cmake master, I'd rather have someone else look at it.

Here what should be done for module:

  • Should be able to specify a "Python module plugin" project type, or maybe use python_plugin but specify a module parameter (default to OFF).
  • Should be able to specify the root of the module in the project. For basic_games this would be . (the root of the folder).
  • To install the plugin:
    • Create a new folder in plugins, using the name of the project? Or the name of the folder?
    • Generate .py files from .uic and .qrc as it is done for other Python plugins, but these files should probably be generated in the same folder as the .uic and .qrc.
    • Move everything from the module to the new folder. Maybe add some exceptions (git files, etc.)?
