monadical.com's Issues

RSS Feed

It would be nice to be able to follow the blog posts through RSS, but I cannot find in the website or in this repo the URL for the feed

Beta - TODOs

  • principles handbook should be under the website header, same as blog articles
  • last-clicked link in the header turns white/invisible
  • header on blog pages is messed up -- sizing is different from other pages & missing logo
  • the "what our clients say" section is still not commented out (all pages)
  • links in the footer are dead
  • Join us at the footer
  • should be able to click anywhere in cards to go to the link, not just the button. e.g. 10 min read shouldn't be the only place I can click to go to the blog article. same with open source projects on the homepage
  • make the text for the menu icons in the header bigger
  • move the "Our team and our projects have been featured in:" section to the bottom
  • improve spacing on smaller resolutions
  • replace shady-looking icon at the bottom of team page with a generic one
  • Fix call to action buttons ('get a technical assessment', 'work with us', 'free technical assessment')
  • Fix typos:
  • Add "out" -- "Check out our most successful..." under "We love open source"
  • 'check ins' in FULL ACCOUNTABILITY add a hyphen -> "check-ins"
  • Projects page: Remove periods at the end of project titles. "Oddslingers", "Node/Python...work"
  • Change "Freem" to "Free" under Open source>Oddslingers
  • OddSlingers project description needs two full-stops added (one to replace the comma before 'Built')
  • On the Project page, under Kiwix, the description begins with [Kiwix] ( https://kiwix.org) --> should be the word "Kiwix" as a link
  • On the Team page, make the 2 blocks of text the same size font
  • Delete repetitions in Juan's description "Mentorship, Project ManagmentMentorship, Project ManagmentMentorship, Project ManagmentMentorship, Project Managment" --> "Mentorship, Project Management"
  • Fix "join the team" button
  • Check favicon colors
  • check robots.txt, sitemap, etc

License?

Hi,

I'd like to build a similar website and I'd like to use this repository to do so, however there is no license. Could you please add a license file (MIT or BSD are simple and usually good enough for this kind of purpose)?

Monadical Consulting | Why should you use an ORM (Object Relational Mapper)?

Budding web developers learning Model-View-Controller frameworks are taught that they should use an Object Relational Mapper (ORM) to interface with their databases. But the “why” is often brushed aside or omitted entirely, leaving a fledgling programmer with burning questions like ”What are ORMs, anyway?”

Five Django Packages We Love at Monadical | Monadical Consulting

One of the biggest draws to Django is its ecosystem. If you encounter a problem, the chances are that someone else in the community has too, and has been kind enough to abstract it into a package and release it. Here are five packages we find ourselves coming back to.

24.7. issues

Please could you reduce the empty space a little bit?

July 21 Issues list

The slug for "Projects" in the menu should be "/projects". It is "/cases" now.

Issues I noticed

@adrian I've checked the tickets and I'd add some, but please correct me if you already are working on some of these:

  • change favicon please
    pasted image
    image

  • more space between lines of text and new rows, for example here pasted image and here
    image

  • The last part should be "contact us" pasted image.
    image

  • are you sure font and colors and image quality is the same as in the original design?

  • why are here different font sizes? pasted image
    image

  • could you please adjust so that these images and headlines are in the same lines and symmetrical?
    image

  • a bit more space between the headline and subheadline here
    image

  • duplicate content here and need symmetrical space between the text-button-text pasted image
    image

  • I would remove this
    image

  • is the font ok here and is everything the same as on the other pages?
    image

  • I would remove this on the blog page
    image

  • I think logos are not centered in the circle here
