Seems like Go provides C interop which we could target.

It's worth exploring the gomobile toolchain as it bears a strong resemblance to E4k (e.g. https://github.com/golang/mobile/blob/master/cmd/gobind/gen.go).

Cgo seems quite limiting, while its surely less work.
How much difference can the native Go implementation do? Is it truly worth the effort?
Which use cases are targeted?
