OU search /admin/tool/dataprivacy/pluginregistry.php Userlist provider missing

Similar to Enrol_groupsync /admin/tool/dataprivacy/pluginregistry.php Userlist provider missing on Moodle Tracker, OU search plugin comes up with 'Userlist provider missing'.

To recur:
Go to Dashboard / Site administration / Users / Privacy and policies / Plugin privacy registry
Open 'Local plugin' and find 'OU search'

Expectation:
No icons except 'Additional', whose icon text is "An additional plugin installed on this site."

Result:
Both 'Additional' and 'Userlist provider missing' appear. The icon test for the latter is "This plugin has the base provider but should also implement the userlist provider for full support of privacy functionality."

Search results in OU Wiki hidden

When using the search tool in the OU Wiki, search results are displayed behind the footer, so are invisible to the user. The search results display as expected in the other OU tools.

Results from all student blogs being displayed

Hi,

For private individual blogs, OUsearch displays results from ALL student blogs not just the one from the logged in student. Links to blog posts can be followed to display the private post.

We see this issue on Moodle 2.6

Posts prior to plugin install are not indexed

Moodle build: 2.7.2 - 20141002
ousearch version: master branch
Database MariaDB / MySQL

In a ForumNG with pre-existing posts, no search results come up after install & cron has been run.

Creating a new post in a forum is indexed immediately and search results do appear for that post.

Is it possible to trigger manually the indexing of previous posts?

Search returns error when in Teacher role

Hi,

This may be a OU search, or ForumNG issue.

When searching a ForumNG issue, if you log in as a Teacher, or switch admin to Teacher role:

Open Forum > click on participation by user > Enter a search item

We see the followig error:
Not Found

The requested URL /mod/forumng/feature/userposts/search.php was not found on this server.

I see this issue in the new v3_stable plugin, and the latest version on Moodle plugins repository.

Best wishes,
Mark.

OU Search Indexing Not Completing

Hello,

I previously chatted to yourselves about the problems we were experiencing to do with the other OU plugins where certain characters and words were generating database errors when entered into posts or pages. We were told the way to fix this was to upgrade the OU search plugin which we have done on our development and test versions of Moodle. However, when we run the post install PHP script to re-index existing content it is failing to reindex all our content, seeming to stop after roughly 1 hour and 40 minutes. There is no time out set on our test system. I wondered if anyone has ever encountered this problem before?

I can send through some log files if that would be helpful, I'm trying to see if there is something obvious we have missed here. It all ran as expected on our development version of Moodle which has slightly less data than test but not much.

If you need any additional information let me know, any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Steph

extended characters indexing, posting & course restore failures

Moodle 2.7.2+ Stable release
ForumNG Latest Master branch
OUSearch Latest Master branch
DB: MariaDB

I tried to restore a course and got an error to restore. After a load of work arounds I managed to restore the course but was still getting errors after that. It took me a while to figure all this out but I managed to remove all the conflicting characters.

This was being caused by the indexing finding a word spelled slightly differently: martí vs marti ( í vs i )

This causes the indexing to see both words as different but when inserted into the database they are seen as the same and therefore non-unique keys and causes a dmlwrite exception.

I can get the stack traces if need be but figured this would be clearer.
