jnbullet's Issues
Issue running gradle build on project: Lossy conversion from double to float
I am following the steps in the ReadMe, created the cmake files, and then ran ./gradlew build zipNatives publishToMavenLocal
Getting the following error about a lossy conversion from float to double
These values are defined in the bullet3 C library with the f for float, but when they are converted into a java code, the f is not persisting and the values are turning into double trying to be saved in a float variable.
Can you help me please?
JNBullet does not have Mac aarch64 target
As part of the debugging I've been doing to get Terasology to build on M1, I've discovered that this project does not have a macOS aarch64 target, only i386 and amd64. This is a complete blocker to running Terasology on M1 as far as I can tell, unless you run all of the Terasology build steps in macOS amd64 compatibility mode (which I'd rather not, and have not tested).
See MovingBlocks/Terasology#5055 for context.
(I guess I'll have to stop being lazy and plug in my Linux desktop to play Terasology, oh well!)
upgrade to gradle 6.9.x (prep for gradle 7.x)
Gradle 7 has some features Terasology is interested in (e.g. version catalogs). Since the MovingBlocks/✳ libraries are often used in composite builds with Terasology, it seems like a good idea to keep their gradle versions from drifting too far apart.
I propose upgrading all the libraries to the latest in the 6.x line (currently 6.9.0) and fixing whatever deprecation warnings crop up there. That should give us a smooth path to then adopting Gradle 7.
