I have fabric downloaded and whenever I try to open minecraft with this mod, it's wanting me to download any version of fabric.

would be cool if you could give us an option to change the warning message to our liking. currently you are using three seperate strings to concat the message. it would be better to use a single string and introduce %item% and %percent% tokens.
then we could edit the message however we want:
"Warning! %item% has dropped below %percent% durability."
"%item% durability has dropped below %percent%"
"Your %item% is approaching its breaking point!"
and so on :)
From some version Forge now requires license field in mods.toml, without it mod will just crash.
I tried adding 'license="MIT"' after 'loaderVersion' and after that mod works fine.
The sound rapidly plays any time you hold the use button, which can spam the noise 20 times per second, making it annoying
I propose adding code that only plays the sound once it drops below the configured durability, then don't play the sound again until the weapon has been repaired above the configured durability and drops below it again.
Crayfish's Gun Mod is using its own custom "durability" system to demonstrate the ammunition of weapons. This mod is unable to alert me when my weapon's ammo is down underneath the percentage. It would be very convenient if you could add compatibility in some fashion, though I have a feeling this would require making an optional dependency with the mod since its durability system is custom.

This mod does not work entirely when playing on a multiplayer server, even if the mod is installed server side. It is possible your mod does not read properly from dedicated server type packets for item durability

It seems the mod is not warning when worn elytra reaches 10% durability,
it would be great if this feature was included.

Im at my skeleton grinder, and hitting them with an iron sword, and the durability ping does not happen unless i hit (or right click) a block. This is on a Paper server with Fabric client, with minor visual (no gameplay) client side modifications.

When I use an item that is Unbreakable:1b, I keep getting the notifier that my item is bellow 1% durability (I have this mod set to notify me at 1%) although the item is full durability, unused.

I'd like to configure the mod so that it starts sounding when under a threshold number of uses (rather than a %).
For example, if I have 25 uses left on a tool, it will sound.
The reason is that 10% on a diamond pick is still a lot of uses, while 30% of a wooden one is just a couple digs. If one sets something sensible for a netherite tool (say 1% warn), it renders the mod useless for wood tools (or shears, or other low durabitly items) as they get destroyed without sounding more than once, if at all.
