Simple Flask blogging application, adapted from https://flask.palletsprojects.com/en/2.3.x/tutorial/.

Supported Databases

Database portability is provided by SQLAlchemy, so major database engines should be supported with little to no modification. Database backend can be configured by setting the DATABASE_URI environment variable.

Use MySQL for database

Convert database layer to MySQL 8.0 for better example usage as a multi-tier web app. MySQL is supported by all the major cloud PaaS databases (AWS RDS, Azure Database for MySQL, GCP Cloud SQL), and can be run on IaaS instances as well.
