When you create a sub area that is a URL, specify the vector and save it, the icon is not saved or uploaded. Also, if you import a sitemap that has a vector icon already in the sitemap it is not displayed when you select the sub area. This must be a UI issue because if you open a site map with a vIcon included and Update SiteMap, the icon is displayed correctly in in D365.

If you edit the site map using the model App Editor, it saves the vector icon selected to both "Icon=" and "VectorIcon=".

Then when you Load SiteMap in the XRM Toolbox SiteMap editor edit it an push it back, you loose the vector icons.

I have previously removed the 'Service' section from my sitemap but now I need it again. I receive an error when trying to add default subarea to the sitemap. Please see attached file. What to do?

today I downloaded the latest version Sitemap Editor and when I click on "Load Sitemap" button, the following error messages are displayed:

Before the update, 10 minutes before the update, it worked.
Could you please advise me what to do? I really need this tool.

VERY IMPORTANT UPFRONT NOTE - I cannot yet confirm that this is a bug with the site map editor editing 8.2 sitemaps- I'm still working to update my sitemap.

After updating the sitemap (as I have hundreds of times with previous versions) I started getting occasional errors opening areas in CRM - I tested the CRM Sitemap editor and I get this validation error:
"Sitemap xml failed XSD validation with the following error: 'The element 'SiteMap' has invalid child element 'parsererror' in namespace 'http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'. List of possible elements expected: 'Area'.' at line 1 position 39."

Additionally when I open the sitemap editor - I see multiple (3) 'default' sitemaps. -
Any thoughts on whether the two are related or if there's a good way to figure out why my sitemap is at least partially corrupt?

The toolbox crashes every time I close the sitemap editor tab after deploying sitemap changes.

Repro steps:
Open Toolbox
Connect to CRM
Open sitemap editor
Load Sitemap
Make a change (ie add new subarea)
Click Update Sitemap - wait until sitemap deployed
Click on the Close Tab button (X). When prompted 'Are you sure you want to close this tab?', click Yes.
You see this dialogue box, even if you have no unsaved changes:

No matter whether you select Yes or No, XTB will crash - Toolbar says 'Not Responding', cursor turns to spinny circle. Forced to hard close the program.

In dynamic crm 2016 latest updae known as dynamics 365 ,XRM sitemap tool does not load the main sitemap . it loads user created apps.

Thank you for follow up.
It does ask , but none of the options contain main app. It shows sitemap for applications made through my apps in settings menu. I can edit them in out of the box app designer. We need editing the default app sitemap.

Made another try, by resetting to dynamics 365 default sitemap , everything seems to work good. I did not save it anyway because edited site map has took a lot of work and I do have a lot of custom entities. I have edited the site map in crm 2015 by your app and upgraded to 2016 and now 365 with no problem. Now I’m trying to make some other minor improvements and I cant find my sitemap in options.

SiteMap Editor for latest Dynamics 365 please! :-)
If I want to load the default SiteMap, the latest one is V8.2 but Dynamics 365 Online already has the version 9.x

In case opening XML file and there is problem with it (Syntax issue)
the window will become disabled and not editable till closing and re opening

When I try to Load SiteMap, I get an unhandled exception (xrmt version 1.2016.5.27)

This was not happening in the previous build.
Occurs over multiple CRM instances.

Using XrmToolbox v1.2018.7.28 with Site Map Editor v1.2018.7.11.

Using a connection string to connect to a D365 online v8.2 instance in the Government Cloud.

This string use to work, but since upgrading XrmToolbox, getting the error log below.

Another person is having the same issue. I've tried different paths on my computer, but getting the same error for every path.

1.2016.12.3 is stalling on loading web resources when loading in the site map from CRM.
Several CRM instances tested.
Previous versions worked fine.

After updating the SiteMapEditor some fields and options are gone.
Option:

• The option to add a Area (seems always the first option in the list)

Fields:

• Always the first field of the properties section (for example: ID, LCID)

Redownload XrmToolBox and the last version of the SiteMapEditor without luck.

When I choose Load SiteMap from menu, I get the following error;

Could not load file or assembly 'McTools.Xrm.Connection,Version=1.2017.2.12, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=96037217801d9658' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

CRM 2016 SP1 (8.1) has a slightly different sitemap from CRM 2016.

Resetting to default for 2016 gives these removed items under Settings area (from managed solution export file) :

I have one org where the default sitemap wont load, only the sitemap from a newly created App loads (ie the sitemap selection dialog doesn't appear) [UPDATE I was using a older version]

I have another org where the it shows the Sitemap selection dialog, and it lists "Default" 14 times even along with the other 4 Apps.
