Import data from Beurer BM 58.

Apparently there are at least two versions of the BM 58 out there:

  • Connected via USB-Serial converter (New ttyUSB device created) -> This is for you
  • Connected as HID device: "0c45:7406 Microdia" -> This script might work for you

Currently only reads out data from user 1 (U1). More info https://muling.lu/beurer-bm58

Copy "10_beurer.rules" file to your udev directory to read data as user.

BM58 seems to crash after end of script

Note, this is probably not an issue of this script per se, but I guess this is the right place for asking.
My BM58 seems to crash after disconnecting the connection (with "PC Err"). Resetting the USB connection (as done in the script) does not help...
However, it also appears to be crashing on the original app on Windows. There, no "PC Err" is shown, but when trying to retrieve the same data a second time, the connection times out (after 1min of trying). Does anyone else experience this behavior?
