Separate npm package for skipping logic which can be plugged into other projects:

For example, there are other OTT platforms like Diney+, Discovery, MxPlayer with a similar use case.

Separating the common logic makes sense.

The value skip_intro: "Vorspann überspringen", might be right for prime (i'm not sure) but for netflix the value should be
skip_intro: "Intro überspringen"

The french version isn't working on my computer.
I did follow the different steps if the extension does not work but it didn't change anything.

Can I do something else to make it work ?

Maybe there is an error in the code's traduction ?
For instead, in french on Netflix, it's "Ignorer l'introduction" and not "Passer le générique" / "Passer l'intro".

this plugin sadly doesn't work correctly using prime in german.
Prime translates "skip intro" into "Vorspann überspringen", not "Intro überspringen".
Was about to send a pull request to change the translation, but that might fuck up the Netflix integration, since they do use "Intro überspringen".......
this is a really stupid problem, and I'm sorry that it exists, but skipping the intro in prime is pretty much the reason for me to use the plugin (how I found it initially).

Goto settings and switch languages and check for:

• Skip recap.

When I watch a movie or series on Amazon Prime, skipping the ads doesn't work.

I have reinstalled Chrome latest version on Win10 with your only addon extension nothing else.

First and foremost thanks so much for this amazing extension, it's really efficient and discreet!
(Whenever the Skip Intro button shows up while watching Friends with my nephews I snap my fingers and tell them I have that kind of power lol)

I was wondering, for the sake to avoid Chrome's CPU & Memory load, if it was possible to have this AutoSkip extension but in the TamperMonkey or GreaseMonkey?

Since I have some issues currently to do a pull request, I have to do it this way.
Amazon DE has more than one recap-skip, and so it won't work on all shows. This will fix it:

Currently, there are no unit tests for this project.

We can use assertion libraries like chai, jest, etc to complete the coverage.

In es_ES the next_epi: "A continuación", should be next_epi:"Siguiente episodio" At least for Spanish from Spain since it does not work and I don't know how to change it locally. I don't even know if that is posible.

it auto skips on prime as soon as it can go to the next episode
it would also be nice to have a setting to turn things off for example leave recaps on or intros as i mainly want the skip prime ads feature

please notice that prime video changed their label for "skip intro" (locale: it_IT)
the correct key they're using is "Salta intro" instead the current "Salta l'intro" - that's obiviously not working.

This is what I wrote up to fix it for myself.

tried restart of chrome, even a reboot of my pc.

I installed the plugin to skip pre-roll promos on prime. works great. To my surprise, it also immediately plays the next episode when the credits begin to roll. I have prime explicitly set to NOT do that, so you're overriding the few settings that the site offers. Please take care to not step on your users toes.

It's not skipping episodes after one ends on netflix.

Add the following option in the extension popup menu to enable or disable the type of skip.

Add a toggle group to:

These options will be for both Netflix and Prime OTT platforms

• Enable/Disable skip recap
• Enable/Disable skip next episode
• Enable/Disable skip intro
• Enable/Disable skip Ads

Also persist this information locally.

Hi, didn't see an open issue for this. I'm currently watching the TV show Chuck, and there's a character called Skip, which triggers the auto-skip (because his name is displayed in the X-Ray). So it constantly pauses the video to open his X-Ray.

For testing purposes, he appears in Season 2 Episode 11, at 1:55

In file i18n.js we need to add support for an array of translated keywords instead of a single string.

Hello, firstly I want to thank you so much for the effort to create this.
I am coming up with an issue after an episode finishes. I get a short delay then a popup saying Streaming Delay.

I need to close player and then click into the episode again for it to play. It does skip the initial ad which is perfect, but at the end, I again get this popup.
If I select Continue waiting, I just watch the big loading wheel which never stops.

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

The code involves some kind of analytic tracking. For transparency, please state what data exactly is send and for what purpose it is used. This should also be mentioned in the README file. Thanks.

This would ensure the addon still works after translation changes.
I have used a userscript before this addon which did it this way, and it seemed to work just fine.

In the case of netflix it would be button-primary watch-video--skip-content-button

For italian language the correct translations is:

"Salta intro"

and not "Salta l'intro".

Feedback form is launched when the user uninstalled the extension.
