I'd prefer if they all used Unix line endings. This is a more gradual process

The README.md is pretty bare, I should do something like what I did with the older pastebin.

Something should also be done so that there can be some script that automatically installs the mod into the mod directory for people. I'm tired of copy pasting into the directory, for which on macOS is a pain.

Newer HPM version is out, 4.6.x which should be adopted, or maybe deferred to a later version since I hear some buzz on /gsg/ that isn't really positive. Will most likely come after I further break up the current code base to work cleaner. Need to remove more dead localization entries, fix other bugs I encounter, etc.

I'm not sure whether it's supposed to be like this or I'm doing something wrong but this has been very annoying. I tried out the PLC and fought against Prussia. After the first war for Danzig's liberation, I built a strong army and allied France so I crushed the Prussians when the truce ended. I took two states East and West Prussia. Almost immediately after the war ended, I got an event abt ceding a province back to Prussia. Two options: Give up or fight them again. I saved the game and chose the "fight" option. It immediately gave me a white peace with Prussia and forced me to give up a province I had literally JUST received. This is unbelievably annoying, Prussia gets free stuff back despite losing a war against me is pretty dumb and not fun. They got it for free, and I got nothing please fix this. I went back to see what the give-up option was but it was essentially the same thing but I also lost 10 prestige. I know it's just one province but it really isn't fun to see your hard work getting undone in less than a year without any effort from the AI.

The Rheinbund should be a confederation of loose german states.

The capital should be in Frankfurt, and there should be the slow centralization of the country with a variable number of possibilities.

There are

1. Slow, peaceful integration that may lead to states refusing to join
2. A more accelerated integration based off of events in France/Prussia/Austria
3. The chipping away of the confederation by the Prussians if they choose to stay in Germany
4. A violent integration that may lead to the intervention by Prussia/Austria/France

Hey I think it's great you're working on the mod, it is a bit bearboned right now but has so good potential. Just wanted to point out that the mod crashed on "databases II" when loading and was only fixed by using the oldest version available here on Github. Therefore I think one of your changes might have caused this, so it'd be great if you looked into it.

If you want any help with the mod I could try to help. I don't really mod anymore but I could give thoughts and suggestions.

The French Empire got beaten by the Kingdom of France and the Coalition of Nations. After their victory, when I clicked on the new Kingdom of France, I got a ctd. Trying to load a save from after that war also crashes the game.

Almost all core files are either poorly indented or use a mishmash of tabs and spaces.

Let's make the files have proper indentation and only use spaces

The literacy decisions do not work as a result of the new map layout and lead to cultures such as the Dutch, Catalan and others to have 1%, 5%, or 6% literacy. Ideally, break up these decisions to work by region rather than by country.

The localization files need to be trimmed since there are a large amount of events that aren't even in the game. There should also be a better regrouping so that in order to update to the newer HPM version, I don't have to worry about losing localisation for specifically the mod.

The current HPM version used in the mod is out of date. The newer HPM versions include

1. Better cultural divides
2. New province shapes
3. More events/decisions for realism
4. Economic system changes
5. New countries

There should be more flavor done with the Native Confederation, or in its new name, the Illinois Confederation.

This country needs

1. Native generals
2. Interaction with the British and Americans
3. Flavor events
4. A possible way for the country to be taken over by either the British or Americans under certain circumstances. Possibly a Michigan cession to the British if necessary.
