openplayground's Issues

Prompt loss when switching tabs

If you write a prompt in the Playground and then switch to compare without hitting Submit, the playground won't save your prompt and it will be lost when you return to the Playground tab.

Privacy policy

First, thank you a lot Nat and everybody who contributed to providing this as a hosted service as well as open-sourcing it.
This is genuinely really cool, especially considering that some of the models are themselves open source.

Would you consider adding a GDPR-compliant privacy policy (even just the IP address is considered personal data)?

That would be much appreciated.

is there an API?

Wondering how I can use this instead of openai api -- does this program provide a rest api?

freezing on linux

The entire OS freezes up for me. Happens on both manjaro and ubuntu (server)

After downloading a few models the os freezes up.

After run calling localhost:5432 there is a white page

After pip and run, in localhost:5432 I have a white page, only title in tab report OpenPlayground.
I open developer tool and in console I have this error message:

Failed to load module
script: Expected a JavaScript module script but the server responded with a MIME type of "text/plain". Strict MIME type checking is enforced for module scripts per HTML spec.

huggingface models pending

why when i put in my huggingface api key and select a gpt4 model, does it just say pending? what am i supposed to do?

Unknown error

i have dolly installed locally and try running a query and it just throws a generic error.

Error building frontend app

Have been running into this error below building the frontend app npx parcel build src/index.html --no-cache. I'm running node version 18.15. Is there any dependency that I misconfigured?

The error message is:

Error: Invalid regular expression: /^[$_\p{ID_Start}][$_\u200C\u200D\p{ID_Continue}]*$/: Invalid property name in character class at /openplayground/app/node_modules/@parcel/packager-js/lib/ScopeHoistingPackager.js:91

I Lost Balance on nat.dev Account after I Delete Account accidentally

@nat
Regrettably, I accidentally deleted my account while attempting to log out. I noticed that there are two buttons on the page, one for deleting the account and the other for logging out, which can be easily confused. When I logged back in, I realized that my balance was missing.

I was wondering if you could help me recover my balance. My Google account associated with this nat.dev account is [email protected]. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide to help resolve this issue.

model error gpt4

please help , when i ask for question in chatgpt 4 , in half of answer my question i got pop up message that model error no response from openai after 60 seconds ! please help

Add GHA CI/CD Workflow

Curious to know what build jobs you'd like to happen. Assuming these:

  • Twine/PyPI packaging
  • flake8 linting
  • Pytest with coverage report generation (needs tests first :) )
  • Upload artifact(s)
  • Download artifact(s) and Deployment?
  • Security scans?
  • Release notes/Package releases?
  • Containerization?

Let me know how I can help.

oasst-llama

can we get llama and vicuna here as well? There's also oasst llama and RWKW.

A UI issue with non-latin characters

The prompt is to translate a given paragraph to Arabic. It produces identical results but the characters are enclosed in a <span> HTML tag which make them extremely hard to read. See picture below.

`openplayground run` results in error

Macbook with M1 Chip

This is the error:

OMP: Error #15: Initializing libiomp5.dylib, but found libiomp5.dylib already initialized.
OMP: Hint This means that multiple copies of the OpenMP runtime have been linked into the program. That is dangerous, since it can degrade performance or cause incorrect results. The best thing to do is to ensure that only a single OpenMP runtime is linked into the process, e.g. by avoiding static linking of the OpenMP runtime in any library. As an unsafe, unsupported, undocumented workaround you can set the environment variable KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK=TRUE to allow the program to continue to execute, but that may cause crashes or silently produce incorrect results. For more information, please see http://www.intel.com/software/products/support/.

Support for Dolly and Open Assistant

Recently Dolly 2 came out and it's completely open source (not based on Llama). Some models from Open Assistant are already available and the official release is about to happen.

It would be nice to have Dolly 2 and Open Assistant support.

Chat UI too limiting?

Given the existence of ChatGPT and the chat-mode completions OpenAI provides, it makes sense to be able to build a chat interface in openplayground.

However, I wonder if framing this feature as a "chat UI" is too limiting? The chat UI itself is really just a specific implementation of a stateful workflow: "process user input (in the chat case, wrap it in JSON), run completion with some history, process model output (in the chat case, parse JSON and extract/parse the response)."

Without going so far as saying "openplayground needs to be natto.dev", I wonder if there's a middle ground here.

🤔

gpt-4 option is not the real GPT-4 model?

When I choose the 'gpt-4' model and just ask it 'which model are you? gpt-3 or gpt 4?' It just says that ' the model is gpt 3.5 turbo, the gpt 4 model is not released ' some kind of things, and when I compare the gpt-4 with gpt3.5-turbo, I can't find any conspicuous evidence that the gpt-4 option actually use GPT-4 model. Can somebody explain why?

how run as desktop application?

Hello,
I have tried the web gui and found it quite nice, but I was wondering if it would be possible to run even just one model as an application outside of a web server completely "locally" idk how to explain this better, basically just having the ability to run models with a gui as an application not web server on a computer to get a ChatGPT like experience but completely just outside of the browser like searching in explorer or finder even if thats a terrible example.
Thanks!

model search is broken

Help - where is server/models.json?

Where is this file?

If I run the server and go to localhost:5432/models.json there's no file to edit there.

Also, are there any templates for the llama models? I mean, I'm grateful for this entire project for free, but it seems kind of strange to have to write the template for each model manually, but I don't know...🤷‍♂️ I don't even know what all the parameters are or their ranges.
