quectel-rgmii-at-command-client's Issues

at-telnet-daemon 100% cpu

Just got this loaded up on an RM520 with simpleadmin. There is an issue posted over there about the dashboard not populating statistics.

While working through that I noticed the at-telnet-daemon will climb to 99% cpu usage and slow the system down. Other times the process hangs out around 25% without any AT commands being processed.

I imagine this is a bug perhaps some inefficient looping going on but I wanted to check here before digging in.

Confirmed: Works on RM521F-GL

Love AT status/config via telnet. I now have the modem in the attic close to the roof mounted antennas with access to telnet config restricted via firewall. Awesome, Thanks!

FYI RE RM520 vs RM521: In my area, there are exactly 3x 5G channels available from my tower. The RM520 will only aggregate 2, but RM521 will aggregate 3 (ie N25+N41+N71 instead of only 2).

I am now getting between 20%-50% increase in measured bandwidth (speedtests.net) compared to RM520, depending on varying signal quality across each aggregated channel. If you have 3x or more 5G channels in your area, upgrading to RM521 possibly may be well worth it. YMMV

Now I need to get monitoring and auto-restart via "AT+CFUN=1,1" integrated into pfSense, my learning curve continues... ;)

AT Commands no output

We have the at-daemon running but when i successfully open telnet and try to send a command (ex: ati) and hit enter it doesn't do anything.

micropython was unable to start and we had to manually modify the systemd service to point to the micropython binary
