stardew-valley's Issues

Spring 16

This is the last day you can craft the remaining required Sprinklers. Any later than today and the second Kale crop will not mature in time.

I never quite understood what this meant even in the original guide, because aren't you watering the plants that aren't getting hit by Sprinklers? So why is this the last day?

First pieces of copper

Hi, I’m enjoying how thorough this guide is. It’s my first min max run and it’s been a great challenge.

One issue I was running in to was getting Clint to give me the furnace blue prints on/before day 5. I’m playing on console and mobile. Buying from him wouldn’t trigger his cutscene but was guaranteed when I would find the copper naturally.

Also, I made more mistakes that caused me to be very tight on time on day 5. I managed to get through by banking on geodes having at least 10 copper ore for me to use. A suggestion if you think it fits with your guide.

Spring forageables

I created this as a discussion about a week ago but maybe issue is a better place?

Travel west. Just before you transition to The Farm, turn your character east, stand near the south side of the path, and drop all forageables on the ground. It may take several attempts to drop them as the game seems to choose random distances when throwing items.

I didn't quite get the rationale for this. If you're already walking back to the farm, why not just drop everything off in the chest while you're going to clear a path to the Backwoods?

Spreadsheet calcluation for second Kale

So the row that it's checking for is this Farming XP by Spring 19, but technically, shouldn't it be looking at what your XP is by Spring 27 instead? Because if you have Rice (or other crops) coming in between the 19th and 27th, it's not going to factor into that calculation? (Though I get that there's possibly some circular dependency if you do the 27th)

Spreadsheet Sp5 has data in it

Not a big deal but there's data in the Parsnips Harvested cell already.

Unrelated, I did find the "Coal Needed" a little confusing because I didn't realize it included the 5 you need for Copper already.

Spring day 4 minor typo

In the section where you're 'not purchasing more Bait' it says to chop 150 wood, to use on a scarecrow and a chest. But that only requires 100 wood. Was the extra 50 wood supposed to be used to build a chest on day 5 for the mines?

Typo on Spring Day 4?

I was going to submit a PR for this paragraph but then realized I didn't actually know what that first sentence was trying to say so thought I'd just file an issue.

Traveling to the mailbox via the Backwoods and vice versa is nearly 20 minutes faster than via Pelican Town. Likewise, traveling to the mailbox from The Mines and vice versa via the Backwoods is faster.

Spring 4

I wrote this in the closed PR but realized it was probably better as an issue.

  1. If you're on that path, you don't need to buy more Copper Ore since you got some the day before already, right?
  2. You have a comment to Skip to The Beach section but it's the section right after.
  3. Technically you don't need to craft a chest since you can just bring the Beach chest => the Mountain. I actually got confused by this in the original guide, why I needed two more chests since I was going to pick one up from The Beach on either Spring 3 or 4.
  4. The amount of bait you can buy at this point is usually over 1k because you have Angler and you're selling the Catfish so should probably emphasize that you only really need 400-500. I ended up buying up to 550, will see how it goes.

Y1-Sp10 Tab

  1. Parsnip XP should probably be Potato XP, but also should add a row for Parsnip/Parsnip XP?
  2. You specify irrigated vs unirrigated Rice but I don't think it matters from an XP perspective?

Mushrooms in Cave

They actually regenerate daily, not every two days just as a heads-up.

Spreadsheeet not working in Google Sheets

I've been importing the spreadsheet to Google Sheets so that I can keep track across two computers and my phone, but Sp5 doesn't work on the latest version (I actually had to go back 7 days to the April 28th version to get it to work). I'm not sure if it's important to you, but the new cells for calculating Parsnip XP don't seem to work. I'll use the old version for now but wanted to create an issue in case you cared/didn't know.
