Tracking issue for our port to Minecraft 1.16. It's not as bad as I'd feared, if I'm honest.

• Basic porting - fixing renamed methods, etc
• Fix up the walls blockstates and models
• Fix up the log blockstates and models
• Fix up tree height/leaves (it's still more variant, but it works OK)
• Figure out what's up with the shield
• Update obfuscated name for sign reflection hackery
• Get biomes to spawn (currently waiting on upstream)

This should provide a better error message for people trying to play multiplayer without the mod installed on the server.

I can't craft Sakura Planks into sticks, is this intentional?

The sapplings need a tremendous amount of empty space surrounding it and can't be replanted when cut down in a dense forest. You also can't place multiple sapplings together to make a large tree like vanilla.

Just like several other mods, we should leverage Quark for vertical slabs.

Of course, this will only apply to Forge, and another solution will need to be found for Fabric.

As in the title. Let's support the better community.

This doesn't mean Forge will no longer be supported, though.

It would be lovely to have this mod on my 1.16.3-server.

Tried to just mark it as compatible, as that works on many other mods, but as this mod is a lot more complex, that didn't work.

When trying to start it on 1.16.3, the error "Cannot inherit from final class" occurs.
On 1.16.2 I instead gets "java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: BIOMES".

I would recommend looking into how birch and spruce trees have a custom texture and removing the pink foliage overlay from the biome. From what I know, neither tree is affected by the foliage and have their own custom color file. tyyyy

I know this bug is in all versions so far so I hope u can squash it hehe

Leaves are easily broken with a hoe normally, but for this mod's leaves it doesn't work.

The "Sakura Crafting Table" added by the mod shows up in REI, but isn't craftable (4 sakura planks gives you a regular crafting table), and when spawned in via commands, the block drops nothing when broken. (This is happening on Fabric 1.16.4.) I did notice they're not included in your preview image, though, so I apologize if you haven't gotten around to implementing them yet. They're really cute, so I look forward to seeing them in the future!

Apparently there are still some compatibility issues - these should be investigated.

I am a developer of another mod (its a timber mod for context) and someone requested that I support your mod.
My mod however already supports mods that add their logs into the vanilla tags for logs.

Could you please either add the logs to the tags or reach out to me so I can provide the files?
