mttsdp's Introduction

MTtsdp_v0

The MagnetoTellurics time series data publication v0 (MTtsdp_v0) codes were developed as part of the Magnetotellurics (MT) component of the 2017-2020 Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) funded Geoscience Data enhanced Virtual Laboratory (GeoDeVL) project. The Level 0 (L0) and Level 1 (L1) time series publication codes are based on Table 1 in:

Rees, N., Evans, B., Heinson, G., Conway, D., Yang, R., Thiel, S., Robertson, K., Druken, K., Goleby, B., Wang, J., Wyborn, L. and Seillé, H., 2019. The Geosciences DeVL Experiment: new information generated from old magnetotelluric data of The University of Adelaide on the NCI High Performance Computing Platform. ASEG Extended Abstracts, 2019(1), pp.1-6, https://doi.org/10.1080/22020586.2019.12073015

The concept of this table was derived from NASA’s Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) Data Processing Levels (see https://earthdata.nasa.gov/collaborate/open-data-services-and-software/data-information-policy/data-levels).

The MTtsdp_v0 codes were used to publish MT time series data from the Musgraves Province, which is part of the Australian Lithospheric Architecture Magnetotelluric Project (AusLAMP) survey: http://dx.doi.org/10.25914/5eaa30cc934d0

Tutorials (README.md files) in Python3 are inside each folder that corresponds to a stand-alone MT time series processing level.

MTtsdp_v1

The MagnetoTellurics time series data publication v1 (MTtsdp_v1) codes were developed as part of the 2021-2023 Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC), AuScope, NCI, TERN funded 2030 Geophysics Collections project: https://doi.org/10.47486/XN002.

The MTtsdp_v1 codes were used to automate the generation of Level 0 and Level 1 MT timeseries products in the MTH5/mt_metadata format (see https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cageo.2022.105102). Additionally, codes were developed to run processing on the Musgraves time series MTH5 dataset on the NCI Gadi supercomputer.
