Deployment of webdavis via RPM compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 would
be a useful enhancement. This would make it easier to deploy and maintain
webdavis.

A useful enhancement would be support for Kerberos via the Apache HTTP Server
mod_auth_kerb module (http://modauthkerb.sourceforge.net/). Ideally, an Apache
Location entry with AuthType Kerberos would be sufficient to enable a user to
login to iRODS using Kerberos credentials. The REMOTE_USER environment variable
set by mod_auth_kerb could be used to identify the corresponding iRODS user.

Hi,

In iRods we have only users which authenticate via PAM, so that the password is
not in iCat but in LDAP.

For these users the davis authetication does not work... or I missed some
config?

On the other hand, for the default irods admin user "rods" (his password is in
iCat) the webdav login works fine.

Is there a possibility to tell davis how the authetication should take place?
With i-commands I also can say (in the .irodsEnv) which authentication should
be used for a specific user.

Any help is appreciated,
We would like to use davis, but without PAM authentication we have no chance.
