There is no issue with initializing weight to 0.0 as this is intended. This is mere suggestion and lacking in a convincing justification as to why the current design of this functionality is problematic. When the weight is initialised to 0, the app will not calculate the target calories and will prompt for more information. There's also a clear error message that tells the user that the weight will be stored as 0 due to failing to enter a valid value multiple time

the user is also able to edit the weight by updating user information again.
