• Start from the square code (no need for map selection), then show all data available: occurrences, stations, ...

• Order species per alphabetical order
• Maybe later: also an option to group by family?
• Type-ahead feature (is the browser enough or should we use a custom form field?)

... even if we know the1km square. This is to avoid confusion when 1km squares appears to have less weight

Map: square color should reflect density (number of occurrences in the square, according to the current selection)

• Satellite background (free providers for those?)
• Maybe other overlays (inspiration on formicidae-atlas.be)

• Same data (occurrences) on the map and in the table

Very old data (Becker) are uncertain and it would be better if we'e able to distinguish those from the rest of the database.

Rather than showing them in a different color on the map (which could conflict with the square color scale, once implemented), I suggest adding a checkbox next to the species selection list.

• ...

At least temporarily, that's useful for data curation (fixing data in the source database)

Where: on top of page, after search (more metadata on species?)
Apparently, those species are already flagged in the database
