• After downloading torrent to Put.io there should be an option to auto-download to your local system
• Queue downloads and download one at a time
• Stream videos directly from the app
• Subscribe to RSS feeds to queue new torrents

Hello,

when i click a new downloaded torrent file, it uploads it but the respond shows the title of the issue.

can you offer me anything to try?

I installed SpeedTao a couple of days ago and now, I cannot open magnet links with put.io adder anymore.

How can I make put.io adder the default app for magnet links again?

I start the program and there is no way to authenticate whatsoever...

Both the 3.0 (550) and 3.0.1 (601) releases have the same behaviour. The 2.9 (458) release does not crash.

Whenever I add a torrent (open file with app) I can get a message saying that it is a duplicate.

With certain torrent files (around 1 in 3) the application consistently crashes on "Open with...".

I haven't yet spotted a pattern for which files this occurs with, but it's always the same files (i.e. not random).

I saw a closed issue on a question about how to make put.io adder the default for magnet links. It was my default for a time and then I messed around with chrome and lost the setting. It would be nice if there was at least a button or link in the preferences to "Make default handler for .torrent and/or magnet:" Even better would be for the app to check this automatically. Since the OP of the other question didn't create an issue for this I thought I would...

Can't sign out to login to new account

I used to have put.io-adder installed, but uninstalled it when I cancelled my put.io account. I've since reactivated my put.io account and reinstalled put.io-adder. Unfortunately, put.io-adder no longer seems to be associated with my put.io account, and I can't figure out how to re-associate it.

I've tried to edit the following file. It doesn't exist.
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.LaunchServices.plist

Hey there! I'm sorry to be a bother, but I'm having a little trouble authenticating the app with my Put.io account. When I open the app, it pops up an "Authorize Application" prompt in my browser, as expected; but when I give it the okay, I see a truncated error message reading "Error: failed to get a". I've tried clearing the app's cookies and caches in my ~/Library folder, but it didn't seem to help. Any idea what might be going on?

Hey there! I'm having some trouble authenticating the app with Put.io again. The symptoms are similar to what was reported in #24:

The odd thing is that the authentication URL doesn't match the regular expression in #25 because the token isn't being included in the callback. Instead, the authentication page bounces me to this URL:

https://api.put.io/v2/oauth2/authenticate?client_id=711&response_type=token&redirect_uri=putio://callback

Is it possible that they've changed their login flows again, or am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any thoughts you have!

hi, in my opinion the program could be better if clicking the red cross your app still remain active in the menu bar.
Actually now if I click the red cross, put.io adder closes at all

my password is 64 characters and stored in 1Password – for some reason I cannot paste into the password field of this app.

If i just leave it running it dies. Not complaining, it still works. Just not sure if it's happening to anyone else.

The new Put.io has a way of getting .xspf files for VLC streaming. It works pretty well and it would be nice if you could double-click a file and based on your preference go open it directly in VLC.

The URI pattern is put.io/files/{file_id}/xspf

Just wanted to say thanks, I've been using this little app forever.

If I could make a suggestion: I would like to choose which folder the adder uses for storing.

👋 Hi there! I managed to produce a crash by getting my account into a bad state and authorizing the app with put.io. My account had been suspended without my noticing, and until I paid up the Adder produced a CALayerInvalidGeometry exception and died on launch (log here). If I had to guess I'd say that the API was reporting something unpleasant for my "remaining space" and the progress bar in the app didn't like it very much.

Definitely an edge case, but thought it might be worth flagging anyway. Thanks for all your work on this project!
