What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. load phpVirtualBox
2. look at details panel
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to see header for "Remote Console (RDP)" on every VM.
Instead I see "Remote Console (RDP)" on about half of my VM's, and not on the
others.
What version of phpVirtualBox, VirtualBox, and PHP are you using? On what
operating system?
phpVirtualBox = Beta 0.4
VirtualBox = 3.2.6
PHP = 5.3.2 from Ubuntu 10.04 repository
OS = Ubuntu Server 10.04 x86_64 2.6.32-24-server
Please provide any additional information below.
In the Qt VirtualBox management application, I have RDP enabled on every VM,
but it does not show up on all in the web app. Also odd is if I have two VM's
running and configured to use the same port for RDP, I can go to the console
tab of one that has RDP available in phpVirtualBox and hit connect, and it will
load the other VM's RDP session instead.

I have been trying to configure my system so vboxwebsvr starts when the system
boots up.
Using debian, i placed the script in the downloads page in /etc/init.d/ - gave
it execution permissions, and changed the user name to the user that usually
runs virtualbox (in my case root, i know is not the best setup, but im still in
testing phase - changing to another "safer" user in the future)
I used webmin for setting the script to run on system's bootup, but it does not
actually start when i start the system.
If i start the system, and then ssh into the machine and launch it manually,
then it starts properly.
The web server is in the same machine as virtualbox, and i only changed the
"USER" variable to "root"

I find this tool pretty useful, but i administer virtualbox from both inside
and outside my LAN, so i think an authentication system would be really
necessary....
At least, for starting, you could set a really simple one, for starting usung
it this days, until you develope something more elaborated: I dont think it
would be something too hard.

As stated, vboxwebsrv is started with SRVANY. When I start it normally,
everything works as expected. With SRVANY all VM's become inaccessible. The
vboxwebsrv instance is reachable, because I do see all kinds of other info.
Also, NO error messages. When clicking on a VM, I don't get any error message
on the right pane, other than this text
"The selected VM is inaccessible. Please respect the error message shown below
and press the Refresh button if you wish to repeat the accessibility check."

HI. I can't start the virtual machine (i can only modify, create and delete
machines. i can even stop machine that is already running - launched using
plain virtualbox GUI under the same user. just everything but starting it).
i've also tried to create whole new VM using phpvbox and it gave me the same
error when tried to start it. once again: i am able to launch the machine using
vbox itself, so error must be in phpvbox.

Please provide any additional information below.
This appears similar to issue #21, however I have tried reinstalling
phpvirtualbox as specified in issue #21 and it did not correct my problem.
PHP is working on this server (phpinfo() works as expected, and there are a
number of other PHP apps that have been running successfully on this server for
some time.)
Virtual Box is also working properly (I have several virtual servers that that
have been running successfully on this server for some time.)
This is a first time installation of phpVirtualBox.
If I go directly to the config.php file via my web browser as suggested by the
error message, I get a blank page. (View source shows no HTML markup
whatsoever.) I have PHP logging enabled and working, however no errors are
logged in my PHP error log.
I have executed the "VBoxManage setproperty websrvauthlibrary null" command as
specified in the installation instructions for the open source edition of
Virtual Box.
I have properly set the Virtual Box username and password in my config.php.
(Virtual Box is runnig as root, at least for the time being until I get this
working.)
vboxwebsrv is running on my server and is confirmed to be listening on the
default port (18083), and this matches what is in my config.php
(http://localhost:18083/).
vboxwebsrv does not show any connection attempts.
I have attached a copy of my php.ini file.
My phpinfo output is as follows:

Php seems to be working because I can pull up the phpinfo page, and I set the
config.php settings to match the user that is running vboxwebsrv. I even tried
changing the websrvauthlibrary settings to no avail. The vboxwebsrv log doesn't
show any connections, just:

If a VM is assigned a range of RDP ports, and another VM is already connected
to one of these ports, The console will not connect to the correct machine
console.
E.G. vm1 and vm2 both have their VRDP ports defined as 33900-33999
Start vm1. This vm is assigned port 33900.
Start vm2. This vm is assigned port 33901.
However if you use the console available in the console tab for vm2, it will
always connect to 33900 (first port defined in its range).
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Assign 2 VMs a range of ports. E.G.
/usr/bin/VBoxManage -q modifyvm vm1 --vrdp on --vrdpport 33900-33999
--vrdpmulticon on
/usr/bin/VBoxManage -q modifyvm vm2 --vrdp on --vrdpport 33900-33999
--vrdpmulticon on
2. Start vm1 and vm2.
3. Connect to console of vm2 via the phpvirtualbox console tab.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
console of vm1 is displayed. Should display console of vm2.
What version of phpVirtualBox, VirtualBox, and PHP are you using? On what
operating system?

phpVirtualBox pops up "Error storing cache", after click OK I the details about
that virtual machine are not displayed and the 'Console', 'Snapshot' and
'Description' tabs are greyed out.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When I click on the virtual machine it should display the virtual machine
details.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Create an Ubuntu 10.04 VM on an external disk drive in Windows XP host(Dell
Latitude D630 laptop PC).
2.Delete the VM and delete the disk drive using Virtual Media Manager.
3.Remove the external disk drive.
4. Start VirtualBox and recreate the virtual machine using the local disk
drive. The failure will occur when using the Virtual Disk Wizard.
5. Select the folder button to specify a location for the disk drive file -
the process will hang (e.g. task manager reports that the task is not
responding), or alternatively,
accept the default folder path in which case the error noted below will occur.
What is the expected output?
1. The Virtual Disk Wizard folder button will open a file browser that will
let the user specify a location for the virtual disk drive file on the local
(C:) drive, or if accepting the default location, the Virtual Disk Wizard will
create a <VM name>.vdi file in the default path.
What do you see instead?
Could not create a directory 'G:\Ubuntu\Ubuntu 32 bit version\Ubuntu1' to save
the settings file (VERR_PATH_NOT_FOUND).

Failed to create a new virtual machine Ubuntu1.
What version of phpVirtualBox, VirtualBox, and PHP are you using? On what
operating system?
VirtualBox 3.2.6
Please provide any additional information below.
This is repeatable. In fact, I cannot create a VM because this occurs every
time I try unless I re-connect the external disk drive.
I discovered this error condition by accident when I created a VM on an
external disk drive, and then noticed that the external disk drive had FAT32
formatting. I wanted to recreate the VM on my local (C:) drive which has NTFS
formatting. I have removed all VM files from the external disk drive, removed
the external disk drive, uninstalled VirtualBox, rebooted the PC, reinstalled
VirtualBox. I was hoping that this would clear any values in memory variables.
I'm guessing that the path information to the external drive is stored in a
register. The solution is probably to remove or change the value in one or
more registers assigned by the installation process.

Hi, i've several questions to ask with regards to it as i'll be running the
phpvirtualbox locally using xampp
1)In the config.php, there is a line var $location = 'http://localhost:18083/';
Do i replace it with the localhost with the virtualbox host ip or leave it as
it is. If it is required to replace it with the virtualbox host ip, does the
port remain unchanged.
2) In the wiki installation part, what do you mean by -H IP.ADDRESS.OF.HOST to
the command line. So lets say if the virtualbox host is a linux, i just have to
type su vbox -c '/usr/bin/vboxwebsrv -b --logfile /dev/null >/dev/null' . But
how do i go about typing the -H IP.ADDRESS.OF.HOST ?
Thanks
