fastpreview's Issues

FastPreview Viewer

Is it possible to please include a setting that tells the viewer to NOT display its own Top title bar,
so that when an image is opened using it, only the image itself displays?
The top title bar could be returned by right-clicking then slecting "Title Bar" from the context menu.
(In other words, add a toggling "Title Bar" setting to the context menu).

That will make things very easy if you want to display an image while recording a tutorial etc., perhaps displaying a pop-up window (which you have screen-grabbed previously), saving you having to enter external programs to reproduce windows etc. Also handy for "Error Message" boxes grabbed and saved as images then used in tutorials.

Instead of......

you can show this in your tutorial.......

Dark theme

With a dark Windows theme, the light context menu of the "FastPreview" program stands out from the general color scheme and blinds the eyes. I really want to see support for the dark theme in the "FastPreview" program.

browse files in directory with arrows left and right or mouse scroll

This is really the main feature fastpreview is missing for me. I would like to be able to open a photo that is inside a directory with fastpreview and then use the scroll button or the arrow keys to browse the other photos that may be on that directory, much like other programs do.

Thanks for fastpreview!!!!! ACDsee is completely bloated. they missed the point.

Chocolatey

Is possible to reference the program in Chocolatey ?
Thank you

More resizing feature suggestions

Hi Nils - thanks so much for accommodating my feature request to add resizing to + and - on the numpad.

I have a couple more suggestions along the same lines:

  1. Picaview and ACDSee responded to ' * ' as 'best fit' and ' / ' as 100%. I know I suggested 'enter' to switch modes but if you really want follow the spirit of it... :)
  2. ACDSee interprets both ' + ' and ' = ' as 'zoom in' and both '_ ' and ' - ' as 'zoom out' to accommodate users without a numpad, who would otherwise have to press ' shift = ' to get the ' + ' symbol. Could be good to add the extra keys if it's only a couple lines.
  3. Window resizing when zoom levels are changed - It seems that the window resizing procedure takes place in two steps. First the image expands to the bottom right (the top-left corner of the window does not move) and then the window is moved to the center of the screen. The result of this is that the window is drawn twice - you can actually see it being redrawn and then moved. Is it possible to do it in one step? Should also speed things up as the window only has to be drawn once...

add function to make fastpreview de default viewer

The only way I found out to use fastpreview as the default viewer is to use the "open with" menu and set it as default. this has to be done for every file type that fastpreview supports and it is annoying and hard, so I would really like to see this feature.

WebP metadata

Since no other GUI app or tool seems capable of displaying WebP metadata, how about FastPreview adding support for it? Would be massively useful.

Can't move preview to 2nd screen

I can't find a way to move my preview image to a second screen. When I try to drag it the window stops at the edge of my primary monitor. Is it because Windows thinks the window is always "maximized?"

I've been using FastPreview since PicaView stopped being available but this is my first time installing it on a multi-screen setup so maybe it's just me.
