Description

Day Planner is a simple application that allows the user to input detailed hourly "to-do" items or reminders in a single-day calendar and save the item to local storage.

Prerequisites

Before you continue, ensure that you have met the following requirements:

  • You are using a Linux, Mac or Windows machine.
  • You have a basic understanding of javascript.

General Information

This application was modified from starter code that included styling and an HTML layout. It was dynamically changed to include functionality for creating hourly time-blocks, displaying current date and time, allowing users to input items into a text field and saving the items to local storage.

Technologies Used

HTML CSS JavaScript jQuery v3.6.0

Features

  • features a display of current time and date.
  • time-blocks are designated by business hours, allowing the user to organize tasks throughout the work day.
  • time-blocks will automatically change color depending on if the item or task is in the past or future based o0n the current time.
  • items and tasks can be save to local storage and are present on refresh.

Usage

This module can be used as a template for any type of standard, daily task organizer or planner. To customize, simply edit the times to match your business or working hours.

Project Status

Project is: in progress.

Room for Improvement

Improvement to be done 1: Edit functionality for color changes based on time. Improvement to be done 2: Re-style using BootStrap.
