QDTech Arduino ISP ESP-8266 1.8 inch TFT Library

This is a modification of the Adafruit SPI TFT LCD Arduino library, customised to run Directly on the ESP8266 using hardware (or software) SPI for the QDTech 1.8" 128x160 pixel LCD board that uses a Samsung S6D02A1 chip.

Video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vG-Dcr0BFBc

It is for use with the Arduino IDE ESP board manager add-on. that can fe found here: https://github.com/esp8266/Arduino

Using the hardware SPI pins is highly recommeneded.

Unzip and change the folder name to "QDTech_8266". Copy the folder into your /libraries/ folder.

You will also need the newest stock "Adafruit_GFX" library. https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit-GFX-Library

The initialisation sequence comes from Henning Karlsen's UTFT library.

Includes code from Gilchrist 30/1/2014 and Norm8332 - 10/9/2015

Does this still run for anyone?

Hi guys. I've tried to get this running for hours and can't seem to get it to work. I've triple-checked my wiring, yet still no go. I'm using Arduino V.1.6.8 and Adafruit_GFX_Library V.1.1.5 on a Lolin NodeMCU board connected to a 1.8 TFT Module (128x160). I added serial.println debugging and can see that it's running the code, but the display remains blank (pure white). I checked the various lines with the scope, and levels are as expected and I see lots of pulses. I'm stumped. Has anyone succeeded with this library lately, or has it been superseded by something newer? Any suggestions or reports of recent success would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Fonts

Hi

Grabbed the latest GFX library and noted that it comes complete with quite a few fonts. So I did the include for the font... and tried setting fonts - result - no text appears onscreen - any chance I've done something wrong and if not could this code be amended to handle the newer fonts?
