Hi! My name is Wolfgang and I do a lot of DevOps and Ansible stuff (IaC, roles, playbooks, Docker, etc.).

My biggest project is the home server Ansible playbook, which is supposed to set up my entire homelab infrastructure from scratch, but is rewritten too often to be of any use 😁

I also maintain ansible-easy-vpn, which lets you set up a Wireguard server with reasonable security and 2FA from scratch on a cloud VM of your choice.

I also have a YouTube channel where I make videos about technology, home servers, self-hosting and other stuff.

Unclear instructions

Is one literally supposed to put laptop=force_I_want_a_brick, or is that a placeholder? What does this do? I assume when it says "Backup the old content and put it on an external storage:", it actually means to do that with regard to the previous step, and then do the next step?

What does "spi configuration is locked down" mean

When I try and tell the tool which Flash IC it is it says "SPI configuration is locked down" after "Reading Flash" and then says it cannot find a flash device, is this normal? How do I unlock the SPI configuration? I'm very new to this stuff, I bought my coreboot laptop off of ebay with coreboot already installed.
