So, has this been looked into any? It's been causing a bit of grief with some of my recordings.

Huh, I wonder if it would be an easy fix, as it's either dropping audio samples or duplicating video frames.
I don't know enough about the programming to do this, but if you made a few counters that tracked the total length of video and audio written, along with a discrepancy counter on the side and added it to the onscreen built-in display, it might make debugging the issue easier. I'm only a hobbyist/novice programmer, so I'm not even too sure where I would even begin.

If it helps any, I found that each time a state is loaded, the audio lags behind exactly one frame. To test this I recorded a video where I loaded a save state 60 times and it was nearly a second behind. I can provide this video to you if you wish.
