Fusion can leave a lockfile behind for some time after the VM has been suspended. It will clean it up eventually after some arbitrary time period, but if this happens the hdiutil create can fail, due to the lock file being removed between the time that hdiutil creates the list of files to be archived and actually reads it:

could not access /foo/bar/blah.vmx.lck - No such file or directory

To fix this, after suspending VMs we will check to see if any .vmx.lck files exist (based on the initial call to vmrun list and tell Fusion to quit via osascript if so, before running hdiutil.
