dfu-device-simulator's Issues

Support HTTP range

The current version of the simulator uses pre-signed S3 to provide the firmware location in the job document.

However this way the device cannot use the Range header to request chunks, they are not supported.

A possible way to change is to serve firmware files using the website hosting feature of S3, which essentially makes the objects in the bucket publicly available. By storing the firmware files with a long random string as filename they can be served to the device without making them easily guessable by other users. This also makes them available forever, where pre-signed URLs are only valid for at max 7 days.

No steps/code for attaching policy to device cert

@coderbyheart What is the expected behavior for the simulated device? I'm seeing constant disconnect -> reconnect -> connected after the shadow is set:

connecting to a2n7tk1kp18wix-ats.iot.us-east-1.amazonaws.com...
