panorama's Issues

Last letter of group name is sometimes lost

I just upgraded from FF56 to FF62 and replaced Tab Groups with TNP. When I tried to recreate my old groups I noticed that sometimes the last letter of the group title is lost, but I couldn't determine under which conditions. Sometimes you create the group, go to a tab, then open TNP and the last letter is not there anymore. Sometimes you close and reopen Firefox, open TNP and it happens again.

Note that it once it loses the last letter, no more letters are lost, which could mean the full title is stored but it's only a display issue.

Performance Impact

I can see that even creating/closing tabs is impacted by enabling this addon

Problem with dragging a tab from another window

I saw a comment about fixing support for multiple windows in the release notes, but I wonder if this particular issue was included in that. I'll report it anyway.

If you have two separate windows open and drag a tab from window B to window A, the expected outcome is that the dragged-in tab is now a part of the current tab group in A. What actually seems to happen is that the tab is not added to the current tab group. In fact, unfortunately changing the tab in window A instantly removes the dragged-in tab entirely.

Send tab to group functionality.

I'm not the user who suggested this on AMO, but I agree that a right-click context menu option on the tab to send the tab to "X" group would be great.

Tabs location; backup

Dear Mr. Ordanov,
I have been enjoying Totally not panorama in FF since the start. In the beginnings, it happened I lost all my groups except the active one.
Now, it's been working very well for a long time.
However I would feel more secure if I could backup my groups and tabs from time to time. But I was unable to find the file(s) where groups and tabs are saved.
Could you help me with that?
Thanks
Best regards

Loss of groups if you create a new window

I keep loosing my tab groups, mostly after creating new windows, and accidentally closing the wrong window.

Not sure what the best way to address it would be.

Other than that, this add-on is the single reason why I'm back to using Firefox! Really amazing work!

Toggle Panorama hotkey on mac does not work

I see that the hotkey is set to "Ctrl+E" to toggle the panorama view. This translates to "Cmd+E" on MacOS, which doesn't trigger anything.

With legacy Tab Groups, I could use Cmd+Shift+E to toggle tab groups.

I added a mac keybind to manifest to make it work:

		"open-panorama": {
			"suggested_key": {
				"default": "Ctrl+E",
                "mac": "Ctrl+Shift+E"
			},
			"description": "Open panorama"
		}

Using "switch to tab" which is in another group messes up the grouping

Steps to reproduce:

  • Create two tab groups and open some tabs in both of them
  • Go to group A
  • Type in the address bar a name or URL of one of the tabs in group B
  • Try to switch to that tab using "Switch to tab" functionality

Expected result:

  • We should be switched to group B, where the selected tab is located

Actual result:

  • Selected tab is moved to group A's tabstrip, but in the groups' view it's still present in group B
  • Manually switching to this tab using groups' view brings back the selected tab to it's original group (group B)

Windows' groups

When there is more than a window, the groups saved only for 1st window
All other windows remove the groups and add all tabs in one group
