Can't you use Git log? You can even use "git bisect" to locate the
particular revision causing your problem.

I didn't thought about it because my problem is not very urgent. Anyway, I don't want you to write down in HISTORY file commit when my issue was introduced today. It will be great if HISTORY file is up to day on next release.

@Chris00 A changelog would help uses to identify important changes like new interesting features or new customization options.
In git log it's hard to tell whether a commit has a user-visible change, or whether it's just some internal refactoring or bug fix without any impact.
