The following code will currently error out:

jsonModify({
  key: "browser_action.browser_style",
  value: false
});

Reason: Missing "value" option. Same happens if you specify zero or an empty string as value. The issue is caused by this line, it should really be if (typeof opts.value == "undefined").

This gulp task changes debug and advDebug correctly, but not logging and email prodMode.

Using this to modify package.json dependencies.

The problem is that it fails for one dependency "zone.js".

Instead of replacing the value for "zone.js" a new key is being created:
"zone": {
"js": "x.y.z"
}

My quick hack is to convert "." to "|" before passing to dot-object. After returning, replace the pipes back to periods.

When I run my gulp command I get this error: tasks.jsonModify is not a function, could you please help me ? I'm stuck

Can we add support for the array? please.
For example:
.pipe(jsonModify({ key: 'jsonKey[0].imageUrl', value: 'urlToImage' }))
and json looks like this:
{ jsonKey: [{ imageUrl: 'urlToImage' }] }
