Messie is a simple web crawler that crawls one page at a time.
- follows HTTP redirects (max 5 levels deep)
- get all links a page contains to continue crawling recursively
- supports caching of pages
- decompression of gzip or deflate compressed is completely handled by messie
- return plain text from web pages
- crawl SSL encrypted pages
- set your own request headers via a fancy API
- directly access the page's content with Nokogiri
- records the response time of every crawled page
- contains a CLI tool that uses the complete API

page.last_modified and page.etag and provide them on your next call to Messie::Page.crawl.
