Description

This useful application allows you to make personalized bubbles with 'icon' and 'title' of your PSP content (HBS/PSX/ISO/CSO) quick and easy, using the 'LMAN' plugin, forgetting completely of the tedious and long manual method.

IMPORTANT

Adrenaline Bubbles Manager (ABM) purpose is to create the bubbles and necesary links to boot chosen psp iso/cso/pbp files with adrenaline v6.x through Lman's plugin adrbblbooter, all done within the ps vita, but, ABM does not change cpu speed, any issue related with that should be mentioned to Lman or the_flow

Instructions

  1. Install Adrenaline v7.0 Make sure Adrenaline works correctly, to be able to boot Adrenaline opening it just once, it is highly recommended to add the following line below the kernel line in ur0:tai/config.txt.
    *KERNEL
    ux0:app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrenaline_kernel.skprx

  2. After taking care of step 1, then you can start using Adrenaline Bubbles Manager to create bubbles for your PSP/PSX content.

NOTE (NoPspEmudrm)

For support with downloaded games (NoPspEmudrm) you must have installed the following plugins in adrenaline:

NOTE:

Because a lot of PSP Homebrews have the same TitleID, the shotcuts of homebrew will be created like PSPEMUXXX.

Adrenaline Bubbles Manager does recognize the accept/cancel buttons According to console region.

iso/cso/pbp content selection screen

Creating Bubbles

  • Triangle: Batch Installation for non installed content.
  • L: To switch the way the bubble will look like in Livearea (original icon look/stretched icon look)
  • R: Select one of the available SetPacks: PSP/PSX or Default:
    Select PSP or PSX to create the bubble using official PSP or PSX BG0 used for Ps Vita.
    Select Default to create the bubble using the iso/cso/eboot resources.
  • SELECT: Sort List: Device, Install, GameId, Category.
  • Left/Right: To change the bubble background color for the selected content (when using original size not stretched icons, 17 available colors ).
  • Square: Multiple Selection.
  • Start: Open Extra Settings menu (set default bubble color, sort list, Adrenaline version check, Adrenaline Bubbles Manager version check).
  • HOLD Analog Right UP + Up: Press and hold Right Analog 'up' and press button 'up' to switch between template styles for selected bubble: PSPEMU, PS1EMU, PSMOBILE, A5
  • X: Create Bubbles.
  • O: Configurate/Edit Bubbles.

Extra Settings

This option allows you to set some preferences as default for ABM such as:

  • BubbleID: PSPEMUXXX or GAMEID.

  • Convert 8bits: Now you can disable the 8bit image conversion when creating or editing ABM bubbles.
    You must be sure the images you are using are in compatible format, otherwise the bubble will fail. Default is YES.

  • Default Sort: Installed, Title, Date of modification, Category, GameID or Device.

  • Default Color: Select the default color for your bubbles (19 colores disponibles).

  • Default BubbleName: By Title, By File Name or Input the desired Name.

  • Set Template: Select the template style: PSPEMU, PS1EMU, PSMOBILE, A5.

  • ABM Update: Checks for ABM Updates at start, default is YES.

  • Check Adrenaline: Checks for Adrenaline Updates, set to NO if you want to stay in Adrenaline's installed version.

  • Set Language: Allows to load selected language at start in ABM: English or Custom.

  • Restore Adrenaline v7: Reinstall Official Adrenaline v7.

NOTE:

If your Adrenaline.vpk gets updated online to a higher version used by ABM, then you'll have to disable this option to avoid reinstalling the adrbblbooter plugins to the PSPEMUCFW folder everytime you open ABM.

Editing Bubbles

Triangle: Allows to edit the configuration file boot.inf

  • Change driver: "INFERNO", "MARCH33", "NP9660"
  • Changes the .bin booting mode: "EBOOT.BIN", "BOOT.BIN", "EBOOT.OLD"
  • Customized: To let each bubble have its own settings keep it in YES
  • PS button Mode: Menu, Livearea, Standard
  • Suspend game: Stop the game running on the psp when PS button is pressed.
  • Disable/Enable plugins: "ENABLE", "DISABLE"
  • NonpDRM Engine: Load content using Quickrazor's plugin.
  • High Memory: Force high memory layout. (Disabled for GTA Native Resolution Patch)
  • Change game cpu clock speed: Improves loading speed and game response depending of chosen speed.

In case you move your games to a diferent partition from where the bubble was created, the game path can be edited (will be highlighted in yellow).
The bubble's title can be edited too.

Uninstall Bubbles

  • Press SELECT (single) or START (all) to select bubbles you wish to uninstall.
  • Square: To uninstall the selected bubbles.

Inject images and manual to ABM bubbles

This option allows you to Insert your desired images to the selected bubble, this will improve the looks of your bubbles in Livearea.

To use this feature you have to follow the instructions below:

  1. Create a folder with the same name of your game (highly recommended but not a must), once you have created/downloaded the images and/or game manual to inject, place them into that folder, then, copy/paste said folder to ux0:ABM.

  2. Download or create the images to insert, those images to use have to be renamed and resized to:

  • icon0.png 128x128
  • startup.png 280x158 (max)
  • pic0.png 960x544
  • bg0.png 840x500
  • boot.png 480x272 (32bits or 24 bits)
  • template.xml
  • Manual images inside (001.png, 002.png 960x544)
  1. Now is possible inject the Manual folder with your manual's images inside (001.png, 002.png 960x544). The folder of the Manual must be place in the following path ux0:ABM/(Gameid)/
  2. Copy/paste your newly created folder with the images inside to the path ux0:ABM/

NOTE:

Make sure the images are renamed as mentioned above and to be in png format, also make sure the images are resized to corresponding sizes mentioned avobe (if your images sizes are close to specs they will work too).
You can add your own template.xml file. (Make sure the images names are the same to images linked in the template.xml).

To insert new images to any selected bubble, when you are in the Edit Bubble menu:

  • X: To open images folder list.

In images folder list:

  • X: To choose the folder where you have the images to insert (preview of the images will be shown).
  • O: To go back.

After choosing a folder, when you can see the images previews:

  • O: To go back.
  • START: Insert the previewed images to chosen bubble.

How to fix "startup.png" images

Hello everyone, thank you very much for all the efforts you make with this wonderful application.

My question is the following one, I create all the images with the dimensions that you indicate, nevertheless, the image startup.png, appears cut when creating the bubble, how could fix that? thank you again.

"Cancel" when creating the bubble

Would be nice if once you press X to create a bubble, in the screen of "Name of the bubble" you can cancel with CIRCLE and get back normally. Instead, it goes on and creates the bubble.

Getting error C2-12828-1 when launching any ABM created bubbles

Hello,

I tried different ISO but I always get this error message when launching them from the live area. I have Adrenaline 6.61 and I'm running ABM 5.01. I'm also running ux0 via SD2VITA. I've attached my config.txt files for ur0:tai and ux0:tai. I've seen 2 other tickets with similar issues and I tried their fix but it did not resolve my issue.

Is there any way to clone bubbles? I have only one base PSP game, so i'm using it as Adrenaline booter.

Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles causes Error

Hello, with Castlevania, when you load Symphony of the Night, and I would assume other games that reload into a subgame, it spits you back out to the Adrenaline menu, with the message "The game could not be started (8002013a)."

ABM Crashs while using usbmc plugin

System- PS Vita TV

i'm having a issue with ABM it crashes right after i launch the bubble
i have no extra lines in my config.txt, i did a fresh install of Adrenaline v6.3 and ABM to see if that helps nothing when it crashes and i need to unplug the system and wait for a reboot tbh i hope this does not damage the system and yes before you ask all the games crash for me any help would be appreciated thanks
All my plugins are 3.65 i checked btw

PS. d4mation has the same issue as me but has sd2vita instead of usbmc

Can you please put function back in to convert bubble pics?

Since the 3.6 change, the option to rebuild the pictures has been taken out, because any NEW bubbles will not need it. But now I have 50 bubbles of the old version, it would be much nicer to rebuild and have them convert over, rather than having to reinstall all the bubbles to fix the icons.

Creating more than 14 bubbles is impossible

The latest version of the application can not create more than 14 bubbles. When creating 15, a system error is written. Prior to this, there was version 5.03, this was not observed.

5.03 is installed on the fat version, and the problem with the slim version. 5.03 Slim version also does not create more than 14 bubbles

Exiting a game with WLAN on crash next bubble

When I exit a game with WLAN on (vita/pstv), the next bubble started will crash and will be require a reboot.

On games like Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai 2, Tony hawk's Underground 2 Remix for example.

[Request] Select custom image folder for batch image injections

It would be nice to have the ability to set a custom folder to pull images from when building the bubbles or batch injection after the bubbles are created. For example, if you wanted all of your PS1 bubbles to share the same background and splash, you could select ux0:ABM/PS1set/ and it would pull bg0.png and pic0.png from that folder for all the new bubbles in that batch. I have attached the set I am using for my PS1 and PSP bubbles as an example. Thanks

Non stretched icons

Is is possible to add real psp icons (non stretched) to the bubbles instead of the vita stretched ones?

ePSP resets in Crazy Taxi

I have noticed that ABM is incompatible with Crazy Taxi Fare Wars (in .cso format, minimum compression) - after Crazy Taxi 1 or 2 is selected (which loads the game in .prx format from the iso, may be related?) the screen turns black for a second, then the usual "Sony Computer Entertainment" appears and XMB is shown, fully functional (any game can be selected, including Crazy Taxi again, and it will not have this issue; same as if Adrenaline was launched directly)

many games with ABM make a Bubble will crash with error code C1-2758-2

if I use ABM to make a bubbles with PSP/PS1/EMU PBP games
its open with all crash and show error code C1-2758-2
what happened?
my PSV is 3.60 Enso with Henkaku R10.2
Ys Seven is Hanization version crashed
Gunner's Heaven PS1 is original pbp crashed
MVSPSP EMU crashed
prinny2 is original PSP iso either crashed

Error c2-12828-1

I instaled successfuly 166 bubles, but noticed that after install more than 100, it sometimes give error c2-12828-1...

Now after having created 166, I cannot create any more bubbles, it always gave error c2-12828-1 when I press X button.
The error occur before loading the keyboard to put the game name...

I'm a developer without any knowledge of how PS Vita/TV works... but let me know if you need any help.

An error has occurred.

I can not install more than 30 games. I instantly get a crash when I try to make another.

Also when mass installing if you try to do 10 or more, when it gets to the 10th your vita will hard lock.

Not working with Adrenaline 6.4

When I initially install Adrenaline 6.4, all of my bubbles work fine. Until I reboot. Once I reboot I get the "Could not load adrenaline_kernel.sprx" error. Opening AdrenalineBubbleManager reinstalls the plugin, reboots. Then all of my bubbles work again, but are back to Adrenaline 6.3. I think BubbleManager needs to be updated to support 6.4?

Error c1-2858-3 with Tenkaichi Tag Team

I have installed the app on 3.65 and it works well with all games except for one game (Tenkaichi Tag team). When I open the bubble get a black screen and few seconds later error c1-2858-3, but the game works flawless when is open directly from Adrenaline

Error C1-2758-2 when opening a bubble

Hi, I'm using version 4.06 and sd2vita (I don't have an official memory card inserted). I have Adrenaline-6 fix and I don't have a previous installation of Lman's plugin. I don't know what could be causing this, but I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions correctly.

Btw, when I press OK on the error screen it just loops indefinitely.

Incompatibility with loading from ur0:/tai/config.txt for Henkaku Config

It seems that on first start, this application creates ux0:/app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrbblbooter.suprx, but if ux0:/tai/config.txt does not exist, it skips over that entirely with no error. I load my Henkaku Config from ur0:/tai/config.txt instead, so this meant the plugin was not loaded.

However, I manually added ux0:/app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrbblbooter.suprx above ux0:/app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrenaline_kernel.skprx similarly to the docs for adrbblbooter (https://sites.google.com/site/theleecherman/adrbubblebooter) and it gives me a c2-12828-1 error and crashes my PSTV whenever I try to open a Bubble created by AdrenalineBubbleManager. I have to physically unplug the power cable to recover from it.

Any ideas? The only other Issue that references this is #25 and that was seemingly solved by just updating AdrenalineBubbleManager.

If it makes any difference, I'm running 3.65 Enso.

Error C2-12828-1 when starting any bubble

Hello, I have an issue loading bubbles made from ABM. I have installed a fresh Adrenaline 6.61-6.3, ABM 5.01, SD2Vita running on a OLED vita. I can run Adrenaline and load games there fine, but when i make a bubble it loads the game image but pops up with error C2-12828-1. When i click ok on that error, the Vita becomes stuck, and a hard reset is required to exit. This occurs with any game i convert, and also seems like the same issue as #41, but i didn't see a solution there. Any ideas?

Error C2-12828-1 on launching any ABM-made bubble

Launching Adrenaline directly from it's bubble works without problems, but the ABM bubbles error out and crash my PSTV if I click OK on the error message. Using h-encore on PSTV 3.68. If it's relevant, I'm testing making bubbles for Valkyria Chronicles II, SFA3 MAX and Final Fantasy III.

Question about .otf font support

Hi, your Lua interpreter perfectly works with ttf fonts, but, have it otf suport?
In my project I'm tryed to load font from sa0:data/font/pvf/ltn0.pvf (as we know .pvf it's .otf fonts) but text was invisible after it.

Also can I use more that one font? First for text output, and second for special symbols, like PS buttons?

X/O flip on japanese vitas

Even on Vitas where O is select and X is back AdrenalineBubbleManager still uses the western configuration.

Stretched Icons Back As An Option?

Could we have the old stretched version of LiveArea icons as an option? I love the new multi installations but I can't get myself to use 3.07+ because I love making my icons look just like they're Vita games and no different.

I might have missed something but I experience the issue that ISOs, which are started through Bubbles, are not executed/run at full speed.
When I return from those games to Adrenalin (via Home-Button) and start the same ISO again, it runs at 333MHz - like expected.
As I found no similiar issue I decided to create a new one.

I use ABM 3.09 but will redo/-install the games with 3.10 in ~30 minutes.
Furthermore, Adrenalin 6-fix is in usage.

If I could provide anymore useful information to you please don't hesitate to ask me to do so.

[Feature request] Import additional frame images

Hi there,

first of all, a huge thank for this tool, it is extremely comprehensive and really easy to use. I've been using it to give a more official look to some PSP games installed through Adrenaline, using a more refined template.xml. Unfortunately, since additional resources are not copied from the ABM folders, it is not possible at the moment to use additional frame images.

It would be great if frameX.png (with X from 1 to 7) could be added to the created bubble as well ! Or possibly all images from the selected folder, instead of simply the currently accepted 4 files.

I'm trying to inject Sony's original bg0.png from genuine PSone Classics which is exactly 250 colors. But after the injection I noticed worse color banding. I ran a hash comparison and it comes up mismatched. I checked it in Photoshop and it seems the injected png has 136 colors. ABM is converting these pngs for no reason even when the png is already indexed 256 colors. I think the process needs to check that if the input png is already using 256 colors or less, it just needs to be copy and pasted as-is without needing to convert. If you do implement this, please do the same for all images including icon0, startup, etc.
