Manga reading app for iOS/iPadOS written with SwiftUI and Composable Architecture

I unticked all the content rating filter options then started sniffing and searched for some random stuff, the url was like this:
https://api.mangadex.org/manga?title=Random&limit=10&offset=0&contentRating%5B%5D=safe&contentRating%5B%5D=suggestive&contentRating%5B%5D=erotica&includes%5B%5D=cover_art&includes%5B%5D=author&order%5Brelevance%5D=desc
Then I only ticked the safe option and did the search again, this time the url was like this:
https://api.mangadex.org/manga?title=Random&limit=10&offset=0&contentRating%5B%5D=safe&contentRating%5B%5D=suggestive&contentRating%5B%5D=erotica&includes%5B%5D=cover_art&includes%5B%5D=author&order%5Brelevance%5D=desc&contentRating%5B%5D=safe
I noticed that the filter option was added to the end of the url, but other options like suggestive and erotica were still present in the url. I guess that’s why I could still see those results even if I only ticked the safe option.
Sorry if my English is a bit poor.
Came across your app on reddit and I love it! Thank you sooo much!
In Depth:
I clicked on the green saved icon (downloads page -> right saved icon) and on the pop up I clicked cancel. But now everytime I go in it gives me the prompt to delete, it promps again everytime when I try to scroll or click on anything except the exit button. (The trash can button, top right, does not have this issue) The issue stops when I relaunch the app. And selecting delete crashes the app before I deletes the chapter. So there is no option to delete individual chapters.
Device: iPhone 15 Pro
iOS: 17.4.1
App: v 0.28
found that not being able to login and see your library is pretty lacking, with the only way of saving manga is by downloading
would be a nice feature
Can you add Turkish translated mangas pls?
Thanks for your work!!
Afaik this is in the MangaDex api. This will allow for people for whom MD is blocked to still use the app.
After downloading some manga chapters, I am getting the follow error:
Something strange happened. The operation couldn't be completed (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 303)
whenever I perform any search, or refresh the home page.
Restarting the app does not fix this error. I am no longer able to search for any manga. The app for me is pretty much broken as I cannot read or search any manga online. I can only read my existing downloaded manga.
Did a quick google search and seems like this has to do with the app's browser using up too much data.
It would be great if we get any example of unit test for any module.
@oolxg
I'd like to see the bookmarking function in the app, which in my use case will reduce the frequent search for same title and keep in one place the manga titles that I'm reading and want to read.
Device: iPhone SE Gen 1
App: 0.25.5(20)
iOS: 15.8
The crash report might have been sent by TestFlight already but in any case, I have also shared what exactly happened in the additional info of the crash report.
Current Behavior:
as soon as the app homepage opens, the app crashes.
Privacy eye:
I'm not fully sure what the eye in the settings does. I suppose it checks if you are still looking at the screen? But then why the slider? Also does the auto lock overwrite the ios auto lock settings? Or does it lock when it detects that you aren't looking at the screen anymore? A little description inside the settings would be great.
Chapter number:
It would be nice to see the chapter number on the continue reading button to see where it jumps to.
I know you are working on a favorit function. It would be cool if in the favorit overview (grid that shows all favorited mangas) the current reading chapter is shown alongside the latest release chapter. Maybe even an icon when your progression is not at the newest chapter to indicate that there are new chapters to read.
Hide languages:
It would be great to have an option to hide translated versions that aren't the one you set in settings. And only show them when there are no available versions for your language, or maybe an 'others' button at the end of the list.
Some other notes:
There are some chapter versions that take you to their website. They are the ones that have a verified icon and link instead of download. Maybe also a settings to hide these?
Multi dwnld/dlt:
It would also be great to be able to select a range of chapters to download/delete. For the delete maybe also an option to delete all chapters up to the current reading one.
PS. I know it's quite a lot of ideas, but I do a little programming and would love to help. I've never programmed an app before but would like to try. If you're interested let me know what I can help with! Keep up the good work! :)
