The build script throws several TypeScript errors, while the dev script works just fine. We suspect it may have more to do with incorrect syntax given that the dev script works though. We wanted to flag it here for anyone interested in working on ReacType!
Hi!
Could you add an AppImage to the downloads? This will make it usable on all linux distributions. Thanks!
If this tools is to be used for any serious project, it needs ability to somehow group components together (into something similar to folders). Each serious use would mean non-trivial amount of components, which cannot be structuren in single flat list.

ReacType aims to reduce the barrier to entry for beginning react developers by providing basic html element prototyping, its current version lacks support for styled components that are ready for more experience users out of the box.
By Integrating Material UI Libraries we open the first door to elevating ReacType to a Mainstream Application, that experienced Developers like yourself would actively use in their day to day activities and projects.
If more and more Developers use this Application then we also would like to Upgrade its Collab Features to be more Secure and less Tedious for our Users.
This in turn allows Beginner Level Users learn more about incorporating Libraries into their Projects and begin to more actively utilize more standardized design elements.
Incorporating a set of material UI components that could work in tandem with the already included HTML elements, a UI βmakeoverβ requires multiple steps to ensure optimised user experience and clean interface, such as
element component to an accordion that collapses and can be expanded and collapsed
Incorporating styled components from libraries - honing in popular components: card, button, textfield, typography
I get this error:
The application /Users/max/Desktop/ReacType.app cannot be opened for an unexpected reason, error=Error Domain=NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code=-10826 "kLSNoLaunchPermissionErr: User doesn't have permission to launch the app (managed networks)" UserInfo={_LSFunction=_LSLaunchWithRunningboard, _LSLine=2436, NSUnderlyingError=0x7fe1a3e091b0 {Error Domain=RBSRequestErrorDomain Code=5 "Launch failed." so of course this isn't an issue, but I just found this repo and am super excited to give it a whirl :)
Create Tutorial - Getting Started
Hello, I believe in the potential of the tool, I would like to help with the project in the documentation and create a brief use tutorial π
Maybe you can allow importing an image as a background, so we can import our mocks and create the components from it.
And maybe later, use multiple images, to simulate routings and different component renders.
Hi, I need to change my password.
Can you pls add this feature or if it's already possible, describe how to do it?
Hi there,
thanks for building this tool, it looks very promising!
I installed it (the electron app, OSX) and I started using it but I am failing to figure out how to edit a component. I.e. I can only add Divs, Images, Headers but I don't know how to set attributes/props/content.
I.e. how do I set an image src or a button onClick function?
thanks and keep up with the good work!
I think this tool cannot become really usefull, if there is no way to add custom primitives. I cannot build application from just provided Button/List/Paragraph/...
I would like to create app from, lets say, https://react.semantic-ui.com/ . Is there a way?
Login via Github modal gets a 404 after submitting username and password
It would be great to have the ability to use our own custom components when building π
In your README, I notice that you can put an image file (maybe it's a sketch file) in App root component. I tried File -> Open File to open a jpeg file in my mac and it didn't work.
Could you show me how to open an image file in ReacType?
