🧾Common Rules:

  • The repository is divided into several tasks. Each task will be opened subsequently for a limited amount of time and all the submissions have to be made within those allotted days only. NO submission will be accepted after the allotted time ends. The details for the specific tasks and the time allotted for each can be found in their specific folders.
  • The submissions will be judged by the mentors and points will be allotted by them for each particular task based on various aspects and intricacies of design like design thinking process, originality of the idea, visual appeal of the submission, etc.
  • Since everyone should be awarded for their efforts, the participants who qualify for the Minimum Design Criteria (MDC) as mentioned in the respective folders of the task will be awarded Full Points🎉
  • These tasks are for learning design and not just scoring points so any kind of Plagiarism or attempt thereof wouldn't be tolerated and would lead to disqualification from OpenCode. You can always ping us for doubts and we would be more than happy to help but simply copying others' ideas for the sake of completing the tasks will be dealt strictly with.

ALL THE FINAL DECISIONS FOR THE JUDGMENT AND AWARDING OF POINTS ⚖️ BASED ON THE SUBMISSION RESIDE WITH THE MENTORS & ORGANISERS. No claim can be made on the number of points awarded by the Mentors & Organisers🙂.

While you are working on the best user flow for the FitLife💪 app, here is another short task to test your thinking 🤔 as User Experience Designer!.

UX laws serve as guiding principles for designers, emphasizing user-centric approaches.👀

Visit this site https://lawsofux.com/ and try to skim through some of the laws of the UX, no need to read all of them only reading few will be enough for this task.

Your task is to identify 3 such UX laws that have come into play on this https://stripe.com/en-in website. Elaborate on how the laws have been applied or are coming into play. Present your thoughts in any format that seems appropriate to you. YOU MUST include screenshots of the section where you feel the laws have been used and explain how the laws have been applied. Go be lawyers of UX!😎

From a user's perspective, a well-designed interface feels like a seamless journey. It's like navigating a clear and well-marked path where everything falls effortlessly into place.✅

In the below provided image you need to figure out which UX is more appealing to the user with 2 valid points.🤔

hhhh

Minimum Design Criteria (MDC)

It is a very basic Task! 😊 You just need to write 2 points explaining as to why one UX is better than the other.

Submission Guideline:

  • Provide the link of google docs in a .txt file. Make sure that the link is accessible (and not private).
  • Submit your txt files in the 'User Perspective' folder only.

Happy UXing contributors!🚀

UX Task-1

OPEN TO ALL.
No need to claim this issue.
NO SUBMISSION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 16th December 11:59 PM.

This first task is based on basic understanding of User Experience and User flow.

FitLife💪 is a versatile and user-friendly fitness app that is designed to help you lead a healthier and more active life. Whether you're an experienced fitness enthusiast or just starting out on your fitness journey, FitLife has something for everyone✅ . It keeps you Connected with certified fitness trainers and mentors who can provide you with personalized guidance. It offers customized workout plans that match your fitness level and goals and also sets dietary goals and monitor your macronutrient intake and helps you visualize your fitness journey🚀.

💡 The task needs to be done in FigJam. There is no need to download FigJam because it is free to use. It is quite simple to learn and only takes around 15 minutes. If you are not sure on how to use it, check the tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVNuArHH5WM

Procedure:

  1. Think about how the flow of the app will be for an average user who has just installed this app and is opening this app for the first time. The user is assumed to be unclear with the functionalities of the app.🤔
  2. You have to decide how the user will move through the app, what steps will he/she need to take and in which order, for eg. the user first might need to sign up for the app.
  3. You can add a range of features designed to help users track, improve, and maintain their health and fitness goals.
  4. Finally create your ideal user flow in a FigJam file and provide its link (in .txt file). Submit your txt files in the UX task-1 folder only.

If you are unclear with user flow diagrams check this short video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvYhuowazh0

MDC (Minimum Design Criteria)

The user flow can be very basic but it at least needs to fulfil the basic functionality of the app that is the end result should be that the needy gets connected to the donor and vice-versa. The flow should begin from user entering the app for first time. If the user wants to track activities like steps and calories, get guidance and personalized workout plans. It should cater to various aspects of fitness, from workouts to nutrition and community support, helping users achieve their health objectives.✅

For any doubts related to the task or the submission process, you can always ping us on discord. Use the tag @fitlife to notify the mentors. We will be happy to help.😊

UX Task-2

OPEN TO ALL.

NO NEEED TO CLAIM. NO SUBMISSION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 21st DEC 11:59PM.

Wireframing is a schematic blueprint; a visual guide that represents the app layout, the flow between the screens and its functional representation informed by your business objective.🧑‍🚒

Our next task in this FitLife💪 App Design Repo is to design wireframe for the fitness app. Do check out this tutorial and read the blog to know about what is wireframing within app design.✅

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goPCYWvpnUI

https://www.figma.com/blog/how-to-wireframe/

Attaching below an image to show how a wireframe of an app looks like 👇

op3

Submission Guideline:

Minimum Design Criteria (MDC)

Since it is a 20 point task, do read and fulfil the MDC accordingly.

  • Design the Wireframes for atleast 4 screens of the app including all the necessary functions of the app.✅
  • Your design should have a consistent theme across all of the screens.
  • You can take inspiration from the internet and implement it using your own perspective and approach.

NOTE: Strict plagarism is applied so Do not COPY PASTE other’s idea. Copying and submitting other’s idea just for points is useless. The motive of Opencode is to learn and not to copy.😊

If some of these things appear complex to you, don't worry too much 😅. Since creating wireframes is a form of art in and of itself, beginners may find the process intimidating. You can ping us on discord in the FitLife💪 channel and we will be happy to help you with your queries.

Keep Learning! 🚀
