bespoke-nav-touch's Issues

prev method lookup fails in optimized code

The next and prev methods are looked up by name (e.g., deck['prev']) instead of by method reference (e.g., deck.prev). As a result, this lookup may fail if the optimizer has changed the method name. Methods should always be looked up by reference to avoid this problem.

Enable touch regions on edges of screen

Enable touch regions on the left and right edges of the screen to navigate to the previous and next slides, respectively. Use roughly 10% of the screen.

These regions do not need (and should not have) visible indicators. It's a subtle feature that can make navigating easier on a mobile device.

Native behavior interferes with navigation to previous slide

The native touch behavior interferes with navigation to the previous slide (i.e., swipe left). This problem occurs in desktop Chrome and mobile Firefox.

To fix this problem, the preventDefault method must be invoked on the touch event after the slide navigation occurs and on all subsequent move events associated with the same swipe gesture.
