David is reporting that the build server service (omint) is having the same trouble running as a service that the KB server service did (64-bit Windows platform). The instructions that you sent using yajsw for the KB server worked perfectly. I’m not finding any instructions for setting up omint as a service. Can you point me to those instructions, or show us how to use yajsw to set up the build server to run as a service?

I installed 64-bit versions of:
jdk 1.8.0_192-windows-x64
jre 1.8.0_192-windows-x64
postgres 9.6.12-2-windows-x64
ActivePerl 5.26.3.2603-MSWin32-x64
meister-751-win32-64

OS: Windows Server 2012

The only adjustment to the installation instructions was that the Win_KB_Service_Cmd.bat would not run correctly until I had copied the folder: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_192\bin\server and renamed the folder "client". After this the bat file succeeded and the service was created.

After rebooting, the Services window shows the Openmake 7 KB Server service is running, but these errors appears in the Windows Event Viewer:

Openmake 7 KB Server

The instructions say that the jre must be 64-bit but doesn't specify a bit-level for the other components. Which one is causing the errors I'm seeing and is it possible for Openmake to run as a 64-bit application?

Hello..

Recently we received a list of remediations that needed to be made on our Openmake KB server. The top 2 were Upgrading Java and Upgrading Adobe Acrobat Reader. There were some others that didn't have as high of a risk score. We are running Meister 7.31 build 1454 and Java build 1.6.0 -b105. It was recommended that we uninstall Acrobat Reader since the machine in question is a server. What newer versions of Java would this version of Meister be compatible with?

I'll also verify that it's OK to send the list of remediations to you and will attach it to the issue when I get confirmation.

Hi guys.

After upgrading our OM and add the license key, the system logins properly but if I go into Help, Openmake Registration the register popup displays.

Are we supposed to register our product online or something? in addition to entering the product key?

Also, on the old system, I have to login everytime I start the GUI.
On this system, it doesn't ask me to login.

Please guide me here.

Have a windows RBS running that won't run scheduled work. Stopped working after a weekly reboot for security patching.

Tried to cycle the agent several times now without successfully getting the cron part working. Made sure the JNT wasn't running. That normally helps. The schedules have always been a problem after booting but trial and error cycling normally fixes it. Every once in a while restarting will bring is lots of missed runs. Flooding the queue with multiple copies of the same job.

Anyway, I need to get the cron part working again.

I'm not able to upload the second Jar(zip) file as the file is to big. I'm getting this error when I uploaded it.

I'm trying to get the agent up and running on a new Windows Server 2012 machine. The license file for Openmake containing the name of the new server has been installed. When I try to run the Meister.exe to start the install I am not able to click on the links to install the remote build agent files or the client files.

The new server was cloned off of an existing Windows Server 2008 machine that already had the Openmake Remote Agent installed on it. I couldn't configure the agent to run with the new server name so I figured uninstalling and reinstalling the Openmake Remote Agent would help.

There was a server outage last night. All applications were affected. Harvest has successfully restarted, and the Openmake KB service appears to have started but builds generated by Harvest are not reaching the remote build servers. KB server has been rebooted. This did not help.

ServerOut.log says:

Stopping and restarting Postgres database service on KB server did not resolve the problem.

Urgent help is needed to get Openmake working again.

For both of the 7.5.1 zip files the directory .\kbserver\tomcat\webapps\openmake.ear\openmake.war\kb\build types\Windows contains both "COGNOS POWERHOUSE COMPILE.xml" and "Cognos Powerhouse Compile.xml".

The unzip on windows complains about it. Just fyi. This isn't really a problem as the contents are the same. Feel free to close.

Have tried several times to install Meister 7.5.1 to a new Windows 2012 image:

• Installed JDK 1.8.0_181 64-bit; added bin folder to system path
• Installed ActivePerl 5.26.1 64-bit
• Installed PostgresSQL 9.5 64-bit; added bin folder to system path
• Installed latest version of Mozilla Firefox
• Unzipped "meister-751-win32-64.zip" to C:\Meister_751 and ran dds.exe
  Made it all the way through to the "The OpenMake install is being performed. This process may take some time." message. It never gets past that, no matter how many hours I give it.

Last thing in the .log file is:

My copy of the Meister zip file came from the installation DVD provided with SCM v13.0.3, so I believe it's the "latest and greatest". Timestamp is 3/23/2016 10:05 AM, size is 137,777 KB

There must be something simple I'm missing. Any ideas?

Let me know what I'm missing.

We are attempting to call Meister using a command line from Jenkins to execute the build process. We have successfully implement the process but when we use the -SYNC option it always returns a value of 8 when checking the errorlevel. We need the errorlevel to tell Jenkins when a build fails >0 or is successful=0. Without the -SYNC errorlevel always returns 0 even if the build fails.

Example of a build command line:
java -cp C:\OM\client\bin\omcmdline.jar com.openmake.cmdline.Main -SYNC -build srs17CmdLine [BuildVersion=6.2.0.0,BuildPreviousVersion=6.1.0.0]
echo errorlevel=%errorlevel%

Our Meister build project activities are all defined as command line executions calling nant or DOS commands.

We are in progress of upgrade our server from 2008 R2 to windows 2016, where we need to reinstall the OpenMake Meister 7.1, we have copied all the files and folders from 2008 server to newly installed openmake meister (KBserver and tomcat folder), now when we tried to login we could not see the private workflow, could you please help us with the private workflow, aslo the user name and password is not prompting when we login it is directly taking to the meister screen, how to make the login access prompt.
