Filenames with release number make merges necessarily painful

Filenames such as IndividualLendingCode-1.8.0.RELEASE.js (and others like it) in IndividualLendingGeneralJavaScript make it unnecessarily painful to use Git to perform merges (e.g. I'm having to basically manually redo stuff to get work done in https://github.com/weigel/mifosx-community-apps/commits/usergeneratedtemplates into origin/devel branch).

I understand those version numbers in the filenames are probably there for caching? There are solutions out there to automate such things, e.g. http://yeoman.io (hopefully used in the AngularUI POC ongoing in parallel).

Sorry for just ranting and not actually submitting a patch.. ;) but hopefully raising such points from experience is a small helpful contribution, too.
