Hi, in my current company(Schibsted) we want to implement events with the standard of Activity Stream 2.0 using Java.
I have a lot of doubts about this decision and maybe you can clarify me:

There is a java implementation for the Activity Stream 1.0?
There is a roadmap to have an stable version of the Activity Stream 2.0 in java? ( I would like to contribute )

The code currently uses the GSON library for all JSON stuff. Jackson, however, is generally more popular and broadly used. Should we migrate to Jackson? Doing so is a fairly large piece of work given that Jackson's custom serializer framework is much more complicated and there is a fair amount of custom serialization required. For now, GSON just works.

TODO: Refactor the Java package name from:
com.ibm.common.activitystreams.*
to
org.opensocial.activitystreams.*

We need more documentation and examples

Need to have a proper completed Maven release configuration. Right now I only do some rudimentary assembly.

The artifactId should be activitystreams-ext instead of activitystreams

I'd love to see this reference impl be updated to use current java standards.

Is this project abandoned or just awaiting more activity?
