That seems likely. I've seen such symptoms myself. I'll have a closer look.

This is probably the same as OPM/opm-benchmarks#38 (and especially https://github.com/OPM/opm-benchmarks/pull/38#issuecomment-43639874). That benchmark is obviously derived from the upscale_* family of utilities.

I have a candidate solution in my (confusingly named) pr-122 branch. It restores the reported behaviour from the 12th of March. However, as I'm not entirely convinced that I've solved everything, I'd appreciate some additional testing before I submit it as solution to Issue #122.
